THE SAMURAI (10) drew out and had to work when racing wide but did a good job to stick on for third at his latest appearance at this venue, beaten 3.3 metres. Proven at this longer distance and if things go his way from the back row he is good enough to take out a race like this. BETTOR BRILLIANCE (1) looks close to a win after back-to-back seconds here, one of them from this barrier. Should get his chance. ULTIMATE COOKIE (6) hasn't been too far off the placegetters from similar draws in her last two attempts here.
