GIORGIO DENARIO (1) finished seventh last start over 2200m at Ascot Park Raceway, beaten 9 metres, after a good third at Central Southland Raceway the run prior. Has the benefit of a good draw. This should be an easier assignment so he is sure to prove tough to beat. MAMAS CRUNCH (7) maintained the recent momentum at her latest appearance when she scored by 14 metres over 2000m at Motukarara Raceway. The driver has some work to do from this wide starting position. Meets a similar line up so she can add to the strong recent effort. FLYING ACE (8) didn't do a bad job when fourth over 2000m at Rangiora last time out. Each-way claims. KOTARE RIMU (3) is worth some thought despite his last-start sixth over 2000m at Rangiora on May 3.
