APPLIED (1) has had little luck from wide barriers of late but has still managed some good efforts including a close second here three back. He'll relish the ace draw having led to win the last time he started from there. DOUGS FLAME (2) has been solid without a lot of luck since switching form NSW, working last time and coming from the back row prior. Draws well and owns a good record at this distance. Expect him to be prominent. SIR RICHARD LEE (8) enjoyed a class drop for an easy last-start win by more than 11 metres at Redcliffe. Draws for a trail and his record at this circuit and distance is encouraging. COMMODORE JUJON (5) deserves respect having come from the back row to win his last two outings.
