FRUITY BEAUTY (5) spotted a start but wound up strongly to place when 7 lengths third (37.63) at Star Pelaw in OR. Leading chance. TROOPER MCEVOY (1) looks well placed here following an A3 win two back before finishing fifth at his latest appearance in an A3 at this track over 480m (29.74). Deserves another chance this easier class. ALNWICK GEM (3) is heading the right way. In the minors two back with a close-up second then scored by 3 lengths in an A6 last time at this track over 480m (29.39). Tougher here but latest effort enough to test this field.
