GROVE PAT (4) missed the frame last time but had been racing well prior to that, winning a HCP three back before a placing at this track the following run. Can make amends this time. CRYSTAL RANGER (1) did a good job to finish third last time out over 462m at this track (28.78) in an A6, the second top-three finish on the trot. Well placed here and should do much better. TWOSHOOKMEN (6) scored two back when on speed but last start drifted back and could manage only a 4 length 4th at this track (28.90). Cannot be taken lightly. EAGLES MAGIC (3) is a last start winner worth following up.
