How to Watch UFC Fight Night: Cortes Acosta vs Walker in Australia

Nine days out from fight night, the UFC lost its welterweight main event when Sean Brady pulled out with a staph infection in his knee, so the card has been rebuilt around a heavyweight scrap between Waldo Cortes Acosta and Johnny Walker.

Walker knocked out Mick Parkin with knees in his heavyweight debut only a month ago, and for Australian fans the whole thing lands on a Sunday morning, with every bout streaming live on Paramount+.

UFC Fight Night Cortes Acosta vs Walker Date and Start Times in Australia

The event takes place at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas on Saturday night US time, which means Sunday, 8 November in Australia. Here's when it starts in your state:

  • Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, and Hobart (AEDT): prelims 9:00am, main card 12:00pm
  • Adelaide (ACDT): prelims 8:30am, main card 11:30am
  • Brisbane (AEST): prelims 8:00am, main card 11:00am
  • Perth (AWST): prelims 6:00am, main card 9:00am

Cortes Acosta and Walker usually walk out a couple of hours after the main card starts, so early afternoon on the east coast is the safest guess for the headliner.

Paramount+ became the home of the UFC in Australia from the start of 2026, and Fight Night events like this one are included in a standard subscription, so there's no pay per view to buy for this card.

Both the prelims and the main card stream live in the Paramount+ app, which works on smart TVs, phones, tablets, and the web.

The co-main event between Tatiana Suarez and Virna Jandiroba matters for the strawweight title picture too, with the pair ranked second and third in the division.

Why Bonfim vs Brady Was Cancelled

Gabriel Bonfim and Sean Brady were booked in August in a clash between the fifth and sixth-ranked welterweights, with the winner pushing towards a shot at Islam Makhachev's next fight.

Brady explained that his knee swelled after training and the infection got so bad he could barely walk, which ended his camp.

Bonfim, who is on a five fight winning streak that includes a decision win over former champion Belal Muhammad in June, is off the card altogether and said on social media that the goal is still to become champion. He's expected to be rebooked, though nothing has been confirmed yet.

Cortes Acosta vs Walker Fight Preview

This is a big swing for both men. Cortes Acosta is ranked sixth at heavyweight and has had a mixed 2026, beating Derrick Lewis but losing to Alexander Volkov and Curtis Blaydes, so a win over a dangerous newcomer to the division would put him straight back in the conversation.

Walker has always been a wild ride at light heavyweight, but his move up started perfectly when he stopped Parkin and picked up a Performance of the Night bonus at UFC 332.

If you are curious how a jump like that reshapes a fighter's outlook, it is worth brushing up on the UFC weight classes.

With two big hitters and a short turnaround for both camps, the method of victory market is the one to watch, and the latest Cortes Acosta vs Walker odds will show whether punters trust Walker's power to carry up a weight class.
