<p>The headline bout of UFC 310 presents the rare instance where a global MMA star outside of the UFC, is thrown directly into a title fight on his debut.</p> <p>Talk about pressure. However, if there's ever a fighter fit for this, it's Kai Asakura. The 31-year-old from Japan presents a strong 21-4-0 MMA record, with notable wins over the likes of Juan Archuleta, Yuki Motoya &amp; Manel Kape. As well as many other wins over strong fighters from the East over in the Rizin promotion.</p> <p>On the opposite side of the octagon is Alexandre Pantoja who has been on a historical run in the UFC, taking out approximately 50% of the top 10 flyweights.</p> <p>When comparing both fighters physically, Asakura is significantly taller (5’8 vs 5’5), however the leg and arm reach difference between the two is minimal.</p> <p>Both possess powerful hands, diverse striking and well-rounded grappling. <p>Before the main fight, we have this excellent match-up between two of the hottest prospects in the welterweight division.</p> <p>This fight will be contested by two fighters who are yet to lose as professionals</p> <p>Ian Machado Garry has a 15-0 record, while his opponent Shavkat Rahmonov is packing an 18-0 resume, with every single one a finish.</p> <p>Physically, Shavkat comes in with a slight reach advantage (77in vs 74.5in); however, both fighters are similar physically, as they are both tall, rangy welterweights.</p> <p>We expect Shavkat to aggressively set the pace early and mix in the takedowns so that he can unleash his devastating ground and pound game</p> <p>While Garry will look to stay on the outside early, utilise leg kicks as he attempts to find his range.
