UFC Fight Night Paris: Hooker vs Parnasse Prediction

SB Staff|02/09/2026|
UFC Fight Night: Dan Hooker vs Salahdine Parnasse Prediction

Headlining an exciting looking UFC Fight Night in Paris, Dan Hooker and Salahdine Parnasse will take centre stage inside the Octagon in the French capital.

A lightweight contest, Kiwi Hooker will be going up against a man who hasn’t lost in five fights and will have huge home support on Saturday, September 5.

The card will get underway from 21:00 AEST. There's plenty more action on this card, so be sure to check out our latest UFC Fight Night tips for the rest of the bouts.

Quick Picks

Our pick: Parnasse to win

Value bet: Parnasse by TKO

Long shot: Hooker to win

Tale of the Tape

Hooker will likely try to turn the bout into a hard, physical pressure fight. He should use his size, jab, front kicks and body work to back Parnasse towards the fence, then build exchanges with punches, knees and clinch pressure.

Parnasse, meanwhile, is likely to be much more measured and mobile, working from a southpaw stance with feints, sharp straight-left counters and plenty of kicks to the body and legs. He will look to use the angles, score cleanly and reset in open space.

But how do the two compare? Hooker’s figures are first…

Age - 36 vs 28

Height - 6'0" (183cm) vs 5'10" (179cm)

Stance - Switch vs Southpaw

Record - 24-14-0 vs 23-2-0

KO Record - 11 vs 8

Betting Markets to Watch

Making his debut in the UFC, the native is considered the favourite as Parnasse’s odds are extremely short . Indeed, he is in hugely positive form and is a champion in KSW, having won his last five fights. Hooker has also had two consecutive defeats, although admittedly they have come against very experienced fighters.

A decision victory could offer value , despite the Frenchman having won his last five inside the distance. He’s coming up against an opponent who has a quality level that he is yet to really test himself against, and could be forced to work harder to get a victory inside the Octagon.

His speed, southpaw counters, varied kicking and ability to control range should allow him to punish Hooker’s entries while avoiding the extended brawls Hooker needs to have much chance here.

Our Prediction

Check the latest Hooker vs Parnasse betting odds at Sportsbet. Our prediction is that Parnasse is the likely winner , with a TKO victory most likely.

You’ll notice that the technical knockout has happened in Parnasse’s last five fights, including a pretty special finish in the first round against Kenny Cross in California in May. Boy did Parnasse come out in an explosive manner in that fight!

Still, Hooker has that quality and experience to cause an upset in Paris as a long shot. He knows what it takes to win and could bounce back from his two defeats here.

Much will depend on whether he is able to consistently force Parnasse to the fence, tax him in the clinch and turn the contest into an attritional five-round battle. We think Parnasse will have far too much for him, though.
