Wimbledon 2025 - Sabalenka vs Raducanu Betting Predictions: Will World Number 1 Beat Home Favourite?

Aryna Sabalenka is the only women’s player in the top five seeds to be standing tall. Coco Gauff, seeded 2 at Wimbledon, Jessica Pegula (3) and Zheng Qinwen (5) were all dumped out in the first round, with Jasmine Paolini (4) eliminated in the second round.

Sabalenka has powered her way through the competition, winning both of her matches in straight sets. Now, she’ll come up against a home favourite in Emma Raducanu.

A player who continues to be erratic with her form and performances, will the Brit be able to send the world number 1 packing from Wimbledon early? Or, will Sabalenka reach the Round of 16 as she aims to finally add a title that continues to elude her?

Sabalenka vs Raducanu Wimbledon Betting Preview

The upcoming clash looks intriguing, on paper at least. Neither of them has dropped a set in this year’s Wimbledon competition.

Sabalenka has looked as dominant as everyone has come to expect of the Belarusian, despite her struggles on the grass. Her best finish at the Championships is in the semi-finals. She didn’t enter the tournament in the best form, but has made a near-perfect start.

Raducanu is someone who has made a perfect start. Despite her troubles with consistency and suffering numerous injuries, she has been galvanised by the home crowd. She has won both her matches 6-3, 6-3, including her second-round contest in which she beat former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova.

Still, Sabalenka presents a distinct challenge. The pair are not too familiar with each other when it comes to being face-to-face on the court. There has been one meeting between them, with the Belarusian winning it in straight sets in 2024. At Indian Wells on the hard court, she won 6-3, 7-5 in the third round.

Sabalenka vs Raducanu Betting Predictions

The latest Sabalenka vs Raducanu betting odds aren’t predicting the home crowd to carry the Brit through the contest.

Sabalenka is a big favourite to win the contest, but there is potential value in backing Raducanu for some markets. While Sabalenka has won the first set in each of her last 29 Grand Slam main draw matches against younger opponents, she has shown she can drop sets on the grass in the past. Raducanu is in good form currently, and will aim to move Sabalenka around the court, so the ‘Yes’ outcome for Raducanu to win at least one set could be worth a punt.

With that in mind, backing Sabalenka to win 2-1 could be a good value bet, as the odds for this market appear rather long. It’s unlikely the crowd will let Raducanu give in and will give her a boost when needed.
