Aryna Sabalenka vs Olga Danilovic Betting Tips: Will Sabalenka Survive Tougher Test?

Business is picking up at the French Open as the action reaches the third round on Friday.

Will number one seed Aryna Sabalenka come through her date with the world number 34, Olga Danilovic?

Aryna Sabalenka: French Open So Far

To describe Aryna Sabalenka’s progress at the 2025 French Open as plain sailing would be an insult to sailors.

The Belarusian star won her first-round clash with Kamilla Rakhimova 6-1, 6-0, before meeting Jil Teichmann in the second round.

And Sabalenka was once again in an unforgiving mood, defeating the Swiss 6-3, 6-1.

Olga Danilovic: French Open So Far

Olga Danilovic caused something of an upset in her first-round game with the former US Open finalist, Leylah Fernandez – the Serbian defeating the 27th seed 6-3, 6-1.

Danilovic then defeated the former world number seven, Danielle Collins, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 in the second round.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Olga Danilovic: Head-to-Head

Sabalenka and Danilovic have met once before; albeit that came at the Madrid Open back in 2018, when Danilovic was just 17.

And it was Sabalenka that ran out the 6-4, 6-2 victor.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Olga Danilovic Betting Odds

The devastating form of the world number one is showcased in the Aryna Sabalenka vs Olga Danilovic betting odds; she’s the $1.06 favourite here.

Underdog backers can avail themselves of $8.50 about a Danilovic victory.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Olga Danilovic Betting Picks

Having dropped just five games in four sets at the 2025 French Open, Sabalenka is living up to her pre-tournament billing as the favourite.

Danilovic will provide a sterner test than what has come before, however. She’s a player on the up, having reached her highest ever singles ranking earlier in May, and as an awkward left-hander there will be obstacles for Sabalenka to overcome.

The Belarusian is not wholly unstoppable, either. Teichmann crafted six break points against Sabalenka in the second round, winning 42% of all points played. In 17 games, the world number one also made a sizable 22 unforced errors.

The challenge for Danilovic, of course, is that she now has just 48 hours of recovery from a match that lasted more than two hours in itself against Collins. The Serb only won 51% of all points played during that match, which shows how close the two players were.

Danilovic has won plenty of matches on clay of late, but those have typically been at the lower grade – the last time she ran into an elite opponent, Qinwen Zheng at the Italian Open earlier in May, she lost 1-6, 4-6.

Fans of speculative bets might be interested in Sportsbet’s $6.75 on Sabalenka to win 2-0 and each set either 6-3 or 6-4, but a lower risk strategy may be just to back Sabalenka with a -6.5 game handicap, which provides a little more margin for error.
