Matchweek 2 takes place this weekend in Italy’s Serie A, with some surprising results having already occurred.
Inter, Napoli, Juventus, and AC Milan each started with expected wins, while our value bet was a winner after Cagliari beat Parma 1-0 – and our long shot came through, too, with Lazio’s second-half winner against Bologna.
Meanwhile, Udinese and Como drew in a hard-fought 1-1 tie. So, what might the second round of matches have in store?
Quick Picks
Our pick: Inter to win

Betting Markets to Watch
The game of MW2 is arguably the tie between Napoli and Como. Both finished in the top four last season, with Como being one of the surprise outfits under former Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas.
Napoli weren’t at their best in their opener against Genoa on the road, despite winning 2-0. Late goals inside the final 10 minutes by Kevin De Bruyne and Antonio Vergara secured victory for Massimiliano Allegri’s men.
The hosts are considered the moneyline favourites , having won their last eight Serie A Week 2 home matches.
Over the last four in Serie A, two draws and one win each have occurred, which is why we think there’s value in the ‘ Draw ’ within the win-draw-win market. The two draws were the most recent outcomes, with both goalless last season.
By extension, this is why there’s value in the ‘Under 2.5 Goals’ market. It has hit in five of Como's last six Serie A matches, while the BTTS to hit market has failed to hit in seven of Napoli's last eight Serie A night matches.
Elsewhere, there is short value in the moneyline for the “bigger clubs”. Inter, Juventus, AC Milan, Atalanta, Lazio, and Roma all have short prices to record wins. In these matches, the goals market may be the better option for value.
Inter vs Cagliari may offer value in the BTTS hitting and ‘Over 2.5 Goals’. The BTTS market has hit in four of Inter Milan's last five Serie A away matches, while the 'Over 2.5 Goals' market has hit in seven of their last eight Serie A night matches.
The same could be said for AC Milan . The Rossoneri have seen the 'Over 2.5 Goals' market hit in each of their last four Serie A matches, as has the BTTS.
Venezia have played well as visiting underdogs, so there could be value in goals being scored. Indeed, despite losing 2-0 to Lecce on the opening weekend, Venezia recorded more shote (19) and more shots on target (6) than their opponents.
Our Prediction
Check the latest Serie A betting odds at Sportsbet. Our top prediction is an Inter win , having blitzed past Monza in MW1 and facing a side they’ve beaten four times in a row in Serie A.
Our value pick is for Napoli-Como to end as a draw , while our long shot is for the BTTS to hit in the AC Milan vs Venezia game.
