2026 FIFA World Cup European Qualifiers: Spain vs Turkey Betting Predictions
17/11/2025|SB Staff|Soccer Tips & Predictions

Spain and Turkey will play their final 2026 FIFA World Cup European Qualifying game of Group E on Wednesday, November 19, with kick-off from the Estadio La Cartuja scheduled for 05:45 AEST.

Depending on how the two teams get on against Georgia and Bulgaria beforehand, there could still be plenty to play for. Both nations have performed to expectations throughout the group stage, with La Roja being the dominant participants.

Luis de la Fuente’s side have been impossible for the opposition to break down throughout qualifying. Will Turkey be able to do what has been extremely challenging? For Vincenzo Montella, the main aim may be to try and keep the scoreline more respectable than last time…

Spain vs Turkey Betting Preview

Back in September, when these two nations clashed at the Konya Büyükşehir Belediye Stadyumu, the hosts were embarrassed in front of their own fans. Spain decided to turn up and unleashed war on their opponents that day, as they flexed their muscles and put six past the Turks to win 6-0.

Pedri had a brace; Ferran Torres had a goal; Mikel Merino scored a hat-trick. Perhaps alarmingly, the final goal was scored with around 30 minutes left to play, as the hosts conceded regularly.

It wasn’t a game that was one-sided in terms of the match statistics, though. Both nations shared the ball equally (50% each), while both managed to register their own fair number of shots. Spain had managed 20 in the game, with 11 of them on target. Turkey had 13 attempts, although only three were on target.

The hosts had more corner kicks than their opponents, outscoring them eight to four, but simply couldn’t make the most of the opportunities that they had in the game.

Spain vs Turkey Betting Predictions

Unsurprisingly, the odds see the Spanish as the big favourites heading into this game. It isn’t surprising, and our betting prediction is that Spain will win comfortably.

However, with that said, we don’t think it will be a repeat of the 6-0 drubbing they dished out last time. We’d still expect there to be ‘Over 2.5 Goals’ in the match, with a scoreline of ‘Spain 3-0’ looking like good value.

La Roja have won their previous two home matches in qualifying by scorelines of 2-0 (Georgia) and 4-0 (Bulgaria). They’ve shown they mean business this year, and despite this game being the final one before the major tournament, we don’t expect them to let up in any way.

In terms of goals scored, we think there’s value in the ‘Spain to Score 2 or more First Half Goals’ market. They had three in the first half of their last meeting.
