Switzerland hosts this year’s tournament, but not many will be backing them to come out on top, especially after falling to a 7-1 defeat to an Under-15 boys’ team.

Still, we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know about this year’s tournament!

UEFA Women's Euro History

England are the reigning champions of the UEFA Women’s Euros and will go into the tournament with a good chance of retaining it. However, Germany are the most successful team in the competition’s history, having won the competition eight times.

Only Norway have joined Germany in winning multiple editions of the tournament, with six nations, including Spain, France, and Italy, yet to have lifted the trophy.

Germans Inka Grings and Birgit Prinz lead the goalscoring charts with 10 goals each. Beth Mead is the only current player to be close enough to them, having netted six in the 2022 edition. Alexandra Popp had also scored six in that tournament, but she retired from international soccer in 2024.

2025 UEFA Women's Euro Betting Predictions

So, who are the favourites to win the 2025 competition? According to the latest UEFA Women’s Euro betting odds, Spain are the main contenders. They have the squad to achieve success, boasting numerous stars.

Having won the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, they have begun to enter their golden era. Alexia Putellas is arguably one of the most prominent names in women’s football, having been crowned a two-time Ballon d'Or Féminin winner and The Best FIFA Women's Player twice. Aitana Bonmatí, Olga Carmona, and Salma Paralluelo are also stars in their own right.

England are just behind in the betting odds, although they will be without key players. Mary Earps and Fran Kirby both decided to retire from international soccer, while Millie Bright decided to withdraw from the squad. Still, they have a strong squad Sarina Wiegman can call upon as they aim to defend their title.
