Which Teams Are in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup?

The countdown is on, and punters are already sizing up the form. A total of 32 clubs - spanning six confederations and twenty nations - will battle for global bragging rights and a huge money prize of USD $1bn  in the United States from 14 June to 13 July, 2025.

Some secured their seat by lifting continental silverware, while others snuck in on ranking points. And then, well - one headline-grabbing host side also managed to slip through a very convenient loophole, securing a spot for international superstar Lionel Messi.

As we all get ready to follow the action of this all-new global competition, here is your guide to every qualifier, plus a few early betting angles to keep in mind.

UEFA (Europe) – 12 Clubs

Club

Chelsea

Real Madrid

Manchester City

Bayern Munich

Paris Saint-Germain

Borussia Dortmund

Inter

Porto

Atlético Madrid

Benfica

Juventus

Red Bull Salzburg

Early value watch: Salzburg opens as triple-figure outsiders but has a habit of punching above their weight in short-format tournaments.

CONMEBOL (South America) – 6 Clubs

Club

Palmeiras

Flamengo

Fluminense

Botafogo

River Plate

Boca Juniors

Betting angle: Four Brazilian powerhouses split the CONMEBOL pack, so expect shorter prices on Seleção-flavoured showdowns.

CONCACAF (North & Central America/Caribbean) – 4 Clubs

Club

Monterrey

Seattle Sounders

Pachuca

Los Angeles FC

Betting angle: Seattle shocked the region already in the past, so don’t underestimate MLS sides on home soil.

AFC (Asia) – 4 Clubs

Club

Al Hilal

Urawa Red Diamonds

Al Ain

Ulsan HD

Betting angle: Al Hilal arrive loaded with Saudi Pro League cash and a squad stacked with international stars.

CAF (Africa) – 4 Clubs

Club

Al Ahly

Wydad AC

Espérance de Tunis

Mamelodi Sundowns

Betting angle: Al Ahly’s winning mentality makes them a live dark-horse despite the inter-continental step up.

OFC (Oceania) – 1 Club

Auckland City (NZL) – Serial OFC Champions League winners (11 titles in 14 years)

Betting angle: The Kiwi semi-pros usually relish the underdog tag; keep an eye on high-priced handicap lines.

Host Nation Slot – 1 Club

Inter Miami (USA) – Awarded via MLS Supporters’ Shield, not MLS Cup. It’s a bit controversial, but we all know that Lionel Messi sells tickets

Betting angle: If the GOAT is fit, expect a flood of sentimental money, although value hunters may find better plays elsewhere.
