Growing up in Victoria, Nathan Brown first wielded a racquet before he picked up a Sherrin.

A talented tennis player as a junior, Browny would go on to make a name for himself in the sporting world as a dangerous AFL forward.

He signed for the Western Bulldogs in 1997, where he played for six seasons, making 137 appearances, and kicking 206 goals.

It was at the Bulldogs where Brown played some of his best footy and earned his two All-Australian selections.

He then joined Richmond at the conclusion of the 2003 season. Browny played 82 games for the Tigers between 2004-2009, kicking an impressive 143 goals in the process.

His time at Richmond is best remembered for a remarkable five goal burst in the final quarter of a 2005 match against Collingwood.

While playing for Richmond, Brown sustained a sickening leg injury and although he would eventually return after an extended period on the sidelines, the severity of the injury fast tracked his retirement from Aussie Rules.

An extremely talented forward in his day, Browny hung up the boots in 2009 and became a respected and well-known radio and TV football commentator.

These days he is also a frequent Sportsbet contributor and now you can make the most of Browny’s AFL expertise and check out his betting tips on the Feed!
