Kane Corne Facts and FAQs

What team did you support growing up?

Dad was the first coach of the Crows in 1991 so I was a mad Crows fan. Until the day he turned up to my school unannounced and told me the club had just sacked him and he wanted to tell me before I found out from the media. I’ve hated them ever since!

Favourite goal you have scored?

I kicked a pretty straight forward on the run goal in the 2004 prelim final, but it was an important one.

It was the team's first goal in the first quarter, but it came against the grain as the Saints were smashing us early and it allowed us to feel like we were back in the game. It was the most tense and nerve wracking game that I ever played in.

What was your favourite sport growing up?

AFL.

What was the highlight of your career?

Winning the 2004 flag.

Who is your favourite athlete of all time?

Lleyton Hewitt was my sporting idol, that guy was a rockstar and extracted the most out of the ability he was given. What a competitor

What was your go to meal before a game?

My brother Chad and I used to go to an Italian restaurant called Mamma Carmella’s for pizza and pasta.

Best sporting moment you’ve ever witnessed live?

I was at the 1989 Grand Final. I was 6 years old, but I love the fact that I got to witness arguably the greatest ever Grand Final.

Why should punters follow you on the Feed?

I feel like I’ve got a good sense of when the odds don’t reflect how close the game will be. My specialty is predicting teams to cover the line.
