Australia have named their second-largest team ever for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina.

Packed full of the best winter Olympians we have to offer, 53 different athletes will represent Australia across a number of different disciplines later this month.

The team is headlined by names like Scotty James and Jakara Anthony. James is a five-time winter Olympian and has two medals to show for his efforts.

Jakara Anthony established herself as Australia’s premier winter Olympian with her exploits in Beijing four years ago. She won gold in the Moguls subsection of freestyle skiing and will be looking to repeat the feat in Milan-Cortina.

The squad also features five of Australia's six medallists from the previous two Winter Games, including PyeongChang 2018 moguls silver medallist Matt Graham, Beijing 2022 slopestyle bronze medallist Tess Coady, and PyeongChang 2018 snowboard cross silver medallist Jarryd Hughes.

There has also been a notable investment in both youth and female representation in Australia’s Olympic setup.

Australia’s Milan-Cortina team is comprised of 62.3% female athlete representation. This milestone surpasses any previous Australian Olympic team composition for both Summer and Winter Games.

The team also includes five teenagers, highlighting Australia's investment in developing future winter sports stars.

Indra Brown, the freeski halfpipe world number one, will turn 16 shortly after the Games begin, making her Australia's youngest Olympic representative.

Additional teenage prospects Ally Hickman, Amelie Haskell, Daisy Thomas and Abbey Wilson complete the youth contingent, ensuring Australia's winter sports future remains bright beyond Milano Cortina 2026.
