New Zealand Warriors vs The Dolphins Prediction – Round 22 2025

31/07/2025|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

The New Zealand Warriors will look to bounce back from last week’s shock loss when they take on the Dolphins at Go Media Stadium on Friday night.

A 24-16 defeat against the lowly Titans has reduced the Warriors' gap back to fifth to just three points, with the Panthers now hot on their heels.

The Dolphins sit in the top eight after enjoying a bye last week, which followed their 43-24 win over the Cowboys. Concerningly, the Warriors have lost Chanel Harris-Tavita, Wayde Egan and James Fisher-Harris to injury.

That means Samuel Healey will start at hooker, while Te Maire Martin and Demitric Vaimauga have been promoted to start with Taine Tuaupiki and Freddy Lussick joining the interchange.

There are three huge inclusions for the Dolphins, who welcome back Kodi Nikorima, Felise Kaufusi and Mark Nicholls for this trip across the ditch.

Warriors vs Dolphins Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

After falling to one Queensland club in New Zealand last week, the Warriors welcome another in the form of the Dolphins in NRL round 22.

The Warriors injuries finally caught up with them as they were shocked by the Titans in a 24-16 boilover that isn’t ideal for their aspirations of holding on to their spot in the top four.

The Dolphins sit exactly eighth and will be raring to go after a big win and a bye in quick succession.

The Warriors have been known to slip when the pressure gets ratcheted up and after last week’s showing, we’re tipping them to take another untimely L in the race for the top four.

Betting tip: The Dolphins.

First Tryscorer Prediction

We’re going with this man for the second week in a row. While Leka Halasima didn’t open the scoring last week, he did find his way to the line and has scored a try in each of New Zealand's last four matches.

Betting tip: Leka Halasima.

Over/Under Prediction

Five of the Dolphins' last six night matches have gone over the total match points line.

Betting tip: Over total match points (47.5).

Line Prediction

The Dolphins have covered the line in each of their last five night matches against teams ranked higher on the ladder.

Betting tip: The Dolphins (-2.5).
