Gold Coast Titans vs Canberra Raiders Prediction – Round 9 2026

30/04/2026|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

The Gold Coast Titans and Canberra Raiders meet on Saturday afternoon in what is effectively a must-win contest for both sides, with neither able to afford slippage after difficult starts to 2026.

Two teams have had much loftier ambitions than their current 13th and 14th ladder positions.

The Raiders have managed just three wins across the opening eight rounds while the Titans have only won two games under new coach Josh Hannay.

Both slides have struggled to click in attack, with the Titans averaging just 21 points per game and the Raiders 19, well short of the competition’s genuine contenders.

For the latest news, odds and analysis ahead of this match, check out our Titans vs Raiders tips and predictions below.

Gold Coast Titans vs Canberra Raiders Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

AJ Brimson is welcomed back into the centre after missing round 7 for the birth of his second child and Randall comes back from a calf complaint, slotting straight back into the starting side.

With their own injury concerns to navigate, the Raiders have ruled out Noah Martin for ankle surgery and Zac Hosking sidelined through concussion, bringing Ata Mariota and Simi Sasagi into the backrow.

Saturday also carries personal milestone significance for the Titans, with Phillip Sami set to play his 150th NRL game and Beau Fermor reaching his 100th, both having spent their careers so far on the Gold Coast.

The history books make for grim reading for the home side, with the Titans failing to defeat the Raiders at Cbus Super Stadium since 2018 and the Green Machine having won their last six meetings between the clubs.

Betting tip: Canberra Raiders.

First Try Scorer Prediction

Simi Sasagi has scored the first try of a game two times so far this season, making him an elite threat to start the game.

The Raiders have scored the 1st try in 60% of their matches this season.

Betting tip: Simi Sasagi.

Over/Under Prediction

Six of the last seven matches between Gold Coast and Canberra at Cbus Super Stadium have gone over the total match points line.

Betting tip: Over (53.5) total match points.

Line Prediction

Canberra has covered the line in each of its last five away matches against Gold Coast.

Betting tip: Raiders (+1.5) line.
