Gold Coast Titans vs Penrith Panthers Prediction – Round 22 2025
31/07/2025|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & TipsThe Gold Coast Titans celebrated Des Hasler’s 500th game as an NRL head coach with a shock win and will look to repeat the dose when they host the purring Panthers on Saturday afternoon.
The Panthers miraculously still have a shot at a double chance, sitting just three points behind the fourth-placed Warriors after seven straight wins, with the last three by an average of 25.3 points.
The Titans got off the bottom of the ladder with a win over the Warriors last week but may find it tough to replicate against a side they haven’t beaten since 2019. With Chris Randall in concussion protocols, Sam Verrills will make a timely return at hooker after personal leave last week.
Gold Coast’s only other change sees Tom Weaver replace the suspended Sean Mullany on the bench. For the Panthers, reigning Clive Churchill Medal winner Liam Martin will start with Isaiah Papali'i to come off the interchange.

Titans vs Panthers Prediction and Betting Tips
Head-to-Head Prediction
Like the Eels, the Titans will go looking for unlikely consecutive scalps in NRL round 22. In proud Kiwi Kieran Foran’s last foray to New Zealand as an NRL player, the Gold Coast managed to upset the fourth placed Warriors.
Back at home this week, if they want to make it back-to-back wins, they’ll have to see off the fully reborn Penrith Panthers.
The reigning back-to-back-to-back-to-back premiers extended their winning streak to seven last week with a dominant 36-2 win over the Tigers.
They’re on the brink of breaking into the top four and if they do, the rest of the competition better get ready, because they’ll be hard to stop in finals footy.
They should also be hard to stop here, with all their stars fit and firing for effectively the first time this season, it should take a lot more than the 16th placed Titans to take them down.
Betting tip: Penrith Panthers.
First Tryscorer Prediction
Home is where the heart is. Well, not for Panthers’ winger Thomas Jenkins. He has scored at least one try in each of Penrith's last four away matches and is our pick to open the scoring here.
