Gold Coast Titans vs The Dolphins Prediction – Round 27 2026

Joel Caine|03/09/2026|

Before embarking on their first-ever finals campaign, the Dolphins will end the regular season against the Gold Coast Titans at Cbus Super Stadium on Friday night.

The Dolphins sealed a top-four spot by defeating the Roosters 26-12 last weekend, extending their winning streak to six matches.

Meanwhile, the Titans were outclassed 42-22 by the Rabbitohs at this venue last weekend. Gold Coast will miss the finals for a fifth consecutive season but has the opportunity to finish its campaign by upsetting a Queensland rival.

Tevita Naufahu replaces the injured Selwyn Cobbo in the only change for the Dolphins. Beau Fermor returns for Gold Coast. Oliver Pascoe has been ruled out, with Luke Sommerton taking his place.

Chris Randall and Moeaki Fotuaika are promoted to the starting side, while Sunny Kama joins the extended interchange and could make his NRL debut.

The Dolphins recorded their first victory of 2026 by defeating the Titans 18-14 in the second week of the season. Can they do the double over their Sunshine State rivals here?

Titans vs Dolphins Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

The Dolphins will zip up the M1 and arrive on the Gold Coast in red-hot form after a statement win last week.

The Phins beat the Sydney Roosters 26-12 in a top four showdown, with Selwyn Cobbo scoring a double and Isaiya Katoa and Kodi Nikorima both dominant. A result that confirmed the Dolphins as genuine title contenders.

The Titans have had a season to forget and have been simply making up the numbers for some time now. Against a Dolphins side on a serious run, that's a tough spot to be in.

The numbers back the visitors, too. The Dolphins have won each of their last 11-night matches, an outstanding run under lights. With a Friday evening kick-off, that trend looks likely to continue against a Titans side who lost in front of their own just last week.

Betting tip: The Dolphins

First Try Scorer Prediction

Coming in for Cobbo is no small task. Luckily for stand in winger Tevita Naufahu, the Phins love going down his side.

In each of the Dolphins' last five matches, their starting left wing has scored at least one try and we’re tipping that trend to continue early on in this one.

Betting tip: Tevita Naufahu.

Over/Under Prediction

Each of the Dolphins' last four away matches have gone under the total match points line.

Betting tip: Under 56.5 total match points

Line Prediction

The away team has covered the line in each of the last six matches between Gold Coast and the Dolphins.

Betting tip: The Dolphins (-13.5) line
