With their season on the brink of destruction, the Wests Tigers will be desperate for victory when they host the Gold Coast Titans at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday afternoon.

The Tigers’ joy after snapping their six-match losing streak was short-lived, as they failed to keep up with the Warriors in a 34-14 loss across the ditch, leaving them sitting in the bottom four heading into Round 20.

Meanwhile, the Titans slumped to their third straight loss, unable to recover from an 18-point deficit as they fell 26-14 to the Broncos, keeping them stuck at the foot of the ladder.

Mid-season recruit Taylan May will make his Tigers debut after starring in reserve grade. Meanwhile, Adam Doueihi shifts to lock, and Alex Seyfarth goes into the back row to cover for the injured Samuela Fainu.

Just one change for the Titans, which sees Tino Fa’asuamaleaui return to the starting lineup after playing from the bench last week.

Here are some betting tips for the H2H, first try scorer, and over/under markets for this game. As well as the full team lists for both sides. This is our Tigers vs Titans prediction.

Tigers vs Titans Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

It always seems to be one step forward, three steps back for the Tigers these days. They couldn’t back up their epic 30-28 upset over the Roosters last week as they went down with minimal resistance to a severely undermanned Warriors outfit.

It could be worse though. For the Titans it’s a matter of zero steps forward, three steps back.

They’re dead last, haven’t had a win for a month now, and Des is all but done. Not even the Tigers can fumble this one, right?

Betting tip: Wests Tigers.

First Try Scorer Prediction

It might have been a while between drinks for new Tiger Taylan May, but let’s not forget the magnitude of his try-scoring prowess when he lined up on the wing for Penrith.

May has scored at least one try in five of his six previous appearances against opponents that were ranked in the bottom four and we’re backing him to open the scoring here against the Titans who are rooted firmly to the bottom of the ladder.

Betting tip: Taylan May.

Over/Under Prediction

When two serial strugglers meet, we always like to steer clear of predicting too many points.

The stats between these two agree and you’ll find that each of the last four matches between the Wests Tigers and Gold Coast have gone under the total match points line.

Betting tip: Under total match points.

Tigers vs Titans Teams

Wests Tigers Team List

1. Sunia Turuva

2. Charlie Staines

3. Taylan May

4. Starford To'a

5. Jeral Skelton

6. Jarome Luai

7. Latu Fainu

8. Terrell May

9.
