Wests Tigers vs Newcastle Knights Prediction – Round 6 2026

10/04/2026|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

Two of the competition’s form sides collide this Sunday, with the Wests Tigers hosting the Newcastle Knights in what shapes as one of the most anticipated matches of the round.

Benji Marshall’s men will be chasing their fourth win from their opening five games.

Both teams missed the top 8 last year, with the Knights collecting the wooden spoon.

Yet, they both have dropped just one match so far this season, making the clash a great showdown between two of the season’s surprise teams.

For the latest news, odds and analysis ahead of this semi-finals rematch, check out our Tigers vs Knights tips and predictions below.

Tigers vs Knights Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

Adding extra spice to the contest, Kai Pearce-Paul will be playing his former side for the first time since he left the Knights after last season.

Not many changes to either side this round, with Jeral Skelton lining up in Luke Laulilii’s spot on the wing for the Tigers, who was suspended after the Bailey Simonsson tackle on Easter Monday.

Knights debutant Wilson De Courcey came off the bench last round and was solid in his first NRL performance, retaining his spot in the centres in place of Bradman Best, who will be recovering from an injury.

The Knights have been quite dominant against the Tigers, winning seven of their last eight meetings.

We predict the Tigers to take home the victory despite what history says, with the Knights down three of their best players and after their golden point heroics last round, this side has faced almost every scenario to start the year.

Betting tip: Wests Tigers.

First Try Scorer Prediction

A Tigers outside back has scored the first try in both meetings with these two sides last season, and we expect this trend to continue with the likes of rookie Faaletino Tavana, who has scored at least one try in his first two games this season.

Betting tip: Faaletino Tavana.

Over/Under Prediction

Twelve of the Wests Tigers' last 15 matches at Campbelltown Sports Stadium have gone under the total match points line, and historically, these two sides have low scoring outings when playing against each other.

Betting tip: Under (49.5) total match points.

Line Prediction

The Wests Tigers have failed to cover the line in each of their last 12 Sunday matches as home favourites, and we expect this game to go down to the last moments.

Betting tip: Knights (+3.5) line.

Tigers vs Knights Anytime Try Scorer Betting Tips

Jahream Bula

Jahream Bula has scored a try in each of the Wests Tigers' last three matches against opponents that were ranked in the top four.

Kai Pearce-Paul

Kai Pearce-Paul since he has joined the Tigers gets plenty of opportunities with the ball in his hands and playing next to Adam Doueihi has allowed the English backrower to score three tries in his first four games as a Wests Tigers player.

Greg Marzhew

Greg Marzhew has scored at least one try in six of Newcastle's last seven matches.

Dominic Young

Dominic Young has been on a remarkable try-scoring tear, crossing eight times across the first five rounds, and three games this season scoring at least two tries.
