The Wests Tigers will be out to snap a six-match losing streak ahead of next week’s bye when they face the Parramatta Eels at CommBank Stadium on Sunday. 

The Tigers have plummeted to 16th after a promising start to the year, most recently suffering a 56-10 loss to the Raiders last week. 

Meanwhile, the Eels got the jump on the Panthers but were ultimately beaten 24-18 last Thursday. They'll be eager to build momentum before a difficult month against a slew of likely finalists. 

Junior Paulo returns for Parramatta through the interchange for his first game since Round 11, while Kelma Tuilagi will start for Luca Moretti, who will miss with concussion. 

After a tumultuous week off the field, Adam Doueihi has been named at halfback for the Tigers, with Javon Andrews dropping out. 

Heamasi Makasini returns in the centres, shifting Sunia Turuva to the wing, while Sione Fainu starts in the back row after coming off the bench last week. The Tigers won 22-20 when these sides met earlier this season, but they are a shadow of that side these days.

In what has become a worrying trend for the Wests Tigers over the last few seasons, they have once again hit the self-destruct button on their season. 

A bright start has given way to dysfunctional dressing room and a cascade of cataclysmic defeats.

Their two most important players Luai and Doueihi have mutinied against coach Benji Marshall and looked unlikely to ever play for the joint venture ever again yet have somehow both been named this week.
