Melbourne Storm vs Wests Tigers Prediction – Round 10 2025
09/05/2025|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips
The Wests Tigers will look for their third consecutive win when they travel to face the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park on Sunday afternoon.

Despite still being considered the competition favourites, the Storm are struggling to string a solid run of victories together, having won no more than two in a row so far in 2025.

They failed the test against a sizzling Raiders side during Magic Round, giving up a late lead to fall in golden point, dropping to fourth on the ladder in the process. They are clearly still feeling the loss of Harry Grant, who is still not back from injury, despite rumours he would be named this week.

For the Tigers they face the challenge of trying to overcome a Melbourne side that refuses to lose back-to-back games, winning each of their last 17 matches after a defeat.

However, with the Lachie Galvin drama behind them, it is a much-improved Tigers side that will face Craig Bellamy’s men though. They’re even currently in the top eight thanks to their Magic Round win over the Dragons moving the team inside the top eight.

Here’s how both of these sides will line up on Sunday afternoon as well as some betting tips for the H2H, first try scorer and over/under markets. This is our Storm vs Dragons prediction.

Storm vs Tigers Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

This isn’t the same Melbourne Storm that started the season as the raging premiership favourites.

Two losses in three weeks have seen them lose their grip on the top two and have stumbled down to fourth place. Still a strong place to be, but they are starting to feel the loss of skipper Harry Grant.

After what they dished up against the Raiders on Sunday, you can bet your bottom dollar that Craig Bellamy would be giving them a fair old clipping and having them charged up for this one.

While they return home and prepare to host the Tigers, it might not be a casual walk in the park after the Tigers have strung a pair of gutsy wins together to find themselves inside the top eight for the first time in what feels like forever.

Benji will know that despite the form of Terrel May, his forward pack will need to be at their best to not be outgunned by the trio of Stefano, NAS, and Kamikamika. So, look for that halves pairing to engage the outside backs along the ground, rather than meeting the towering Storm wingers in the air.

Still, we doubt that will be enough to stop a Storm side who seem to simply refuse to lose two matches in a row.

Betting tip: Melbourne Storm.

First Try Scorer Prediction

Very few men enjoy running out on the turf of AAMI Park as much as Storm winger Xavier Coates.

He has scored at least one try in each of Melbourne's last four matches at AAMI Park and we’re tipping him to open the scoring in this one against the Tigers.

Betting tip: Xavier Coates.

Over/Under Prediction

Melbourne at home often means plenty of points and the Tigers also have a number of attacking weapons to bring to the party too.

When you take into account that six of Melbourne's last seven matches at AAMI Park have gone over the total match points line, the over in this market seems to make the most sense.

Betting tip: Over total match points.
