Melbourne Storm vs Manly Sea Eagles Prediction – Round 20 2025
17/07/2025|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips
The Melbourne Storm will look to make it a staggering 11 wins in a row at home when they welcome the Manly Sea Eagles to AAMI Park on Saturday night.

The Storm are riding a season-best six-match winning streak as they continue their challenge for the minor premiership, sitting just two points behind Canberra, albeit with no byes remaining.

The best attack in the league showcased its wares again on the weekend, piling on 26 second-half points to bolt past Newcastle for a 32-14 victory after a shaky start.

Meanwhile, the Sea Eagles beat the Bunnies 30-12 in Round 18 before their bye and sit in seventh place heading into Round 20.

Xavier Coates and Cameron Munster are huge inclusions for Melbourne, although Ryan Papenhuyzen remains out injured.

Anthony Seibold has chosen to stick with the same 17 that got the job done over South Sydney and his chargers will be looking for retribution after being crushed 48-24 by the Storm earlier this season.

Here are some betting tips for the H2H, first try scorer, and over/under markets for this game. As well as the full team lists for both sides. This is our Storm vs Sea Eagles prediction.

Storm vs Sea Eagles Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

One of the fiercest rivals of the 2010s will be getting run back on Saturday night, when the Melbourne Storm welcome the Manly Sea Eagles to AAMI Park.

While we are now quite far removed from the ‘Battle of Brookie” days, both teams still have plenty of fight left in them and should serve up a cracking encounter.

Manly have been rejuvenated in recent weeks, with the gamble, turned masterstroke, of moving Tom Trbojevic from fullback to centre paying instant dividends.

That change, coupled with the return to form of departing skipper Daly Cherry-Evans has catapulted the Sea Eagles back inside the top eight.

We’re about to find out just how rejuvenated Manly really are, because the Storm in Melbourne are as tough as it comes.

There are still question marks as to whether Cameron Munster will feature here or take more time to continue mourning his father. Storm coach Craig Bellamy has already announced that the club will give Munster as much time off as he needs.

Still, even if Munster doesn’t feature, with him on his teammates' mind, and with the number of other superstars they have in their ranks, we anticipate Melbourne to be far too strong for the rapidly improving Sea Eagles.

Betting tip: Melbourne Storm.

First Try Scorer Prediction

During the Storm’s incredible home winning streak, there have been a number of players who have displayed imperious try scoring habits on the turf of AAMI Park.

Eliesa Katoa has scored a try in each of Melbourne's last four matches at AAMI, which is remarkable for a forward. While Harry Grant has scored a try in each of his last three home appearances against teams on a winning streak, which the Sea Eagles currently are.

Still, for this market, we’re siding with reigning Dally M medallist Jahrome Hughes here who has scored at least one try in each of Melbourne's last three matches at AAMI Park.

Betting tip: Jahrome Hughes.

Over/Under Prediction

Based on the 72-point fire fight that broke out between these two sides earlier in the season, we are more than inclined to tip the over total match points line to hit here.

Betting tip: Over total match points.
