Two teams looking to return to the winner’s circle will make the trip out West to Perth’s Optus Stadium on Saturday.

The Cronulla Sharks and the Canberra Raiders will play the first game of a special double-header in WA, as Rugby League hits the road in round 6, in an effort to grow the game.

A couple of Cronulla stars will return just in time to head west, as the Sharks are set to welcome back Teig Wilton and Siosifa Talakai into their ranks.

There will be no such luck for Manly, with star man Tommy Turbo still grounded for the time being. His absence was heavily felt in last week’s loss to Melbourne and no doubt the Sharks smell blood in the water.

Let’s take a look at how these two teams will line up in Perth, along with some betting tips for the H2H, first try scorer and over/under markets. This is our Sharks vs Sea Eagles prediction.

Sharks vs Sea Eagles Teams

Cronulla Sharks

1. Will Kennedy

2. Samuel Stonestreet

3. Jesse Ramien

4. Mawene Hiroti

5. Ronaldo Mulitalo

6. Braydon Trindall

7. Nicho Hynes

8. Addin Fonua-Blake

9. Blayke Brailey

10. Oregon Kaufusi

11. Briton Nikora

12. Teig Wilton

13. Cameron McInnes

14. Daniel Atkinson

15. Siosifa Talakai

16. Toby Rudolf

17. Tom Hazelton

Manly Sea Eagles

1. Lehi Hopoate

2. Jason Saab

3. Tolu Koula

4. Reuben Garrick

5. Clayton Faulalo

6. Luke Brooks

7. Daly Cherry-Evans

8. Josh Aloiai

9. Jazz Tevaga

10. Siosiua Taukeiaho

11. Haumole Olakau’atu

12. Ben Trbojevic

13.
Sharks vs Sea Eagles Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

The first game of this week’s Perth double header sees the Sharks and the Sea Eagles both searching for an immediate bounce-back from losses last week.

The Sharks were stunned in the nation’s capital by a last-minute Raiders’ resurgence, while Manly’s fortress at Four Pines Park was stormed by Melbourne.

Despite no Tom Trbojevic we were quietly confident Manly would be able to take it to Melbourne, but Craig Bellamy has made a career out of proving people wrong and did just that as he oversaw his team to a dominant 48-24 win.

Now we’re not as hot on the Sea Eagles sans Tommy Turbo, so we’re siding with the Sharks here, but only just.

Betting tip: Cronulla Sharks.

First Try Scorer Prediction

Part of Manly’s reshuffle due to Tom Trbojevic’s injury has seen young flyer Clayton Faulalo come into the side on the wing.

The athletic winger grabbed a last-minute consolation try in last week’s loss to Melbourne, but we’re tipping him to do the opposite here and cross the line closer to minute one than minute 80.

Betting tip: Clayton Faulalo.

Over/Under Prediction

Each of Manly's last seven away matches have gone over the total match points line, so it will be interesting to see how much of a part location plays here.

Yes, Manly will be away, but so will Cronulla. Still, both of these teams love to attack, and both have plenty of players capable of piling on the points, so the over in this market still seems like the play to us.

Betting tip: Over total match points.

Sharks vs Sea Eagles Match Details

Date: Saturday, April 12, 2025.

Kick-off: 3:00pm AEST.

Location: Optus Stadium, Perth.
