Cronulla Sharks vs Sydney Roosters Prediction – Elimination Final 2025
10/09/2025|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips
The red-hot Roosters will be out to ambush the equally in form Sharks in this weekend’s second Elimination Final.

It’s interesting to think where the Chooks would have finished had Sam Walker been in their ranks from jump in 2025, with the diminutive halfback’s return from injury going hand-in-hand with his team’s recent renaissance.

They won four of their last five and made it to their date with the eight, just before the entrees were served, largely thanks to the exploits of young Walker.

The Sharks finals foray had been guaranteed for some time, but they’ll be disappointed to have their lives on the line here after missing out on the top four and the double chance that comes with it.

Like the Roosters, they are in fine touch too, winning an impressive seven out of their final eight games to finish the season.

Someone’s winning run is coming to an end here, as well as their season, as there can only be one victor here. Who will it be? The Sharks or the Roosters? Let’s find out!

Sharks vs Roosters Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

Saturday’s second elimination final goes down at Shark Park when Cronulla welcome the red-hot Roosters to town.

Despite just sneaking into eighth, the Chooks are actually the favourites in the head-to-head market here and it’s not hard to see why.

They finished the season with five wins from their final six matches, in a run of results headlined by the scalping of both Melbourne and Canterbury.

The Sharks also enjoyed a strong finish to the regular season, closing out with three wins on the swim.

The good news just keeps coming for Cronulla too, with main man Nicho Hynes cleared to play, after initial reports suggested he was facing a one-match ban for a hip drop tackle.

His battle against the recently revived Sam Walker, whose return from a long-term injury has completely reinvigorated the Roosters, will be a must watch.

All in all, we simply can’t walk away from Walker and his Tri-colours. They’ve pulled off too many massive results with their season on the line in the last two months, for us to believe they can’t pull off at least one more.
