Cronulla Sharks vs The Dolphins Prediction – Round 19 2025

Two sea-dwelling creatures in contrasting form collide to open round 19, with the Cronulla Sharks hosting the Dolphins at Shark Park on Friday night.

These sides emerge from their shared bye last week with opposing recent records. Cronulla have only won one of their last five while the Dolphins have only lost one of their last five.

Those results spell danger for the Sharks, who conceded 30+ points in all four losses, whereas the Dolphins scored 44+ points in their four wins.

On the personnel front The Dolphins’ Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow is the only Origin representative named to back up. Sean O’Sullivan replaces the injured Kodi Nikorima at five-eighth while veteran forward Mark Nicholls joins the starting side after coming off the bench last start.

There’s just one change for the Sharks, who have added Daniel Atkinson to the pine in place of Billy Burns as they look to steady their form in a potential run toward the finals.

Opening up proceedings in round 19 are the Cronulla Sharks and The Dolphins, who are set to meet at Shark Park on Friday night.

Both of these sides are coming off byes, with the Dolphins more at risk of an Origin hangover than their hosts.

The Phins will be hoping talisman Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow makes it through Game III (and the following celebrations should QLD win) unscathed.

His last contribution in a Dolphins jersey before heading to Maroons camp was to score four tries in a rout of South Sydney.

The Sharks will certainly be hoping he doesn’t feature here, as they need all the help they can get at the moment.

They’ve gone from top four candidates to 10th on the ladder after a slew of less than desirable results.
