Sea Eagles vs Cronulla Sharks Prediction – Round 10 2025

09/05/2025|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

Tied on the ladder with 10 premiership points each, the Manly Sea Eagles and Cronulla Sharks will conclude Round 10 when they clash at 4 Pines Park on Sunday.

While Manly missed out on Magic Round, the bye came after a much-needed return to form with a win over Penrith.

Meanwhile, the Sharks were impressive in their 28-18 win over Parramatta, notably just five days after a painful golden point defeat to the Tigers.

They head to Brookvale Oval, which has been a happy hunting ground for the Sharks in recent years, winning their last three fixtures there. Cronulla have been winning games in pairs this year and will be hoping to finally go on an extended run to boost their top-four push.

In terms if team news, Jason Saab and Jake Trbojevic return for Manly with Tommy Talau and Ethan Bullemor dropping to the bench. The Sharks make one change with Daniel Atkinson replacing Siosifa Talakai on the bench.

Let’s check out the rest of the lineups for this one, along with some betting tips for the H2H, first try scorer and over/under markets. This is our Sea Eagles vs Sharks prediction.

Sea Eagles vs Sharks Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

After putting their feet up last week, having drawn the short straw to miss out on Magic Round, the Sea Eagles are back at home hosting the Sharkies to close the round out.

It’s a youthful Sea Eagles backline that will look to challenge the Sharks through the air with their speed and height. Cherry-Evans & Brook’s kicking games are some of the best in the league and if given the chance, they can be deadly hitting targets out wide.

The Sharks remain a mystery so far in 2025. Despite Nicho Hynes kicking them to safety last week, he has taken a backward step this year and let Brayden Trindell run this team.

The star-studded team sits sixth on the table and has set themselves up nicely. But look for them to try to turn this one into a contested grind against a much larger forward pack. They will look to open up the middle and draw out the tired errors that we know Manly can make.

Betting tip: Cronulla Sharks.

First Try Scorer Prediction

We’re backing a man in form here and that man is Cronulla winger Sam Stonestreet.

The 22-year-old 1.93m behemoth is unsurprisingly a halfback’s dream and a constant threat under the high ball. He has scored two tries in three of Cronulla's last four matches and we’re tipping him to open the scoring at Brookvale Oval.

Betting tip: Samuel Stonestreet.

Over/Under Prediction

After examining the form lines heading into this one, you’ll find that seven of Cronulla's last eight matches have gone under the total match points line.

That’s seven good reasons why we’ll be taking the under in this market here.

Betting tip: Under total match points.
