Manly Sea Eagles vs Sydney Roosters Prediction – Round 22 2025

Arguably the most important game of the weekend features two teams outside the top eight, with the ninth-placed Manly Sea Eagles hosting the 10th-placed Sydney Roosters.

The hosts will desperately want to respond after a mauling at the hands of the Bulldogs last week, which saw them drop out of the top eight. Meanwhile, the Roosters were defeated by the Storm in a last-minute nail-biter, marking a third loss in four matches which has left their season teetering on the edge of collapse.

More changes in the halves for the Tri-colours, this time with the absence of Sandon Smith (concussion) giving Hugo Savala a start at five-eighth, while Billy Smith is back from his own concussion with Ethan King dropping to 18th man.

Manly have lost Haumole Olakau’atu to a shoulder injury, which sees Corey Waddell take his place in the starting side. Jake Simpkin and Tommy Talau are new faces on the bench.
