Canberra Raiders vs Canterbury Bulldogs Prediction – Round 10 2025
08/05/2025|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips
It’s a top-of-the-table clash in the nation's capital! The perfect occasion to mark one week on from a federal election is to have a big game of Rugby League staged down the road.

This matchup between the Canberra Raiders and the Canterbury Bulldogs is easily the game of the round, which also means it’ll be one of the hardest to tip.

The Raiders, who have risen from pretenders to genuine contenders are the slight favourites in the H2H market, despite the bulldogs currently occupying top spot on the NRL ladder.

This is due to the stunning five-game winning streak they are on at the moment (the current longest in the competition). Their golden point victory over the Storm in Magic Round last week was the strongest indication of just how serious a title contender the Green Machine truly are.

The Bulldogs aren’t exactly chopped liver though, they instantly responded from their blip against the Broncos (their only loss of the season so far) with a comfortable 20-point victory over the Titans last start.

They also welcome back Matt Burton this week, meaning it will be a long night under the high ball for the Raiders outside backs at GIO Stadium.

Whoever wins this one will most likely find themselves installed as the premiership favourite before the weekend is up, but who will that be?

Here’s how these two sides will line up on Saturday afternoon, along with some betting tips for the H2H, first try scorer and over/under markets. This is our Raiders vs Bulldogs prediction.

Raiders vs Bulldogs Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

This Raiders team, who most people tipped as bottom-nine battlers, have wined and dined out on the rest of the competition. Their latest victim was the Storm, who they took down to close out Magic Round.

Ricky Stuart has put together a tenacious young team who have powered their way to second place on the NRL ladder. Now they get a free hit at the ladder - leading Bulldogs, at home, to test their mettle and see where they stand this season.

The Dogs though must be loving the view from up top. They got back on the winners' list by feasting on the lowly Titans and have moved a game clear of the rest of the competition.

But they will have to be on again this week, as the Raiders have proven they are no joke.

Look out for their forward pack to get a run through the middle. The Bulldogs have one of the smallest, yet talented packs in the competition and will have the likes of Tapine, Papali’i, Young, and the Horse all licking their lips.

This should be a belter. The Raiders have been perfect at home this year and we’re looking at that to continue on here, in a try fest!

Betting tip: Canberra Raiders.

First Try Scorer Prediction

Although we fancy the Raiders to end up on the right side of the scorecard in this one, we are backing a Bulldog to be the one to start it ticking over.

Fresh off a Magic Round hat-trick and firmly in the frame for a debut NSW State of Origin jumper, Doggies winger Jacob Kiraz is in the form of his life.

We’re backing him to continue that form straight from the starting gun in this one.

Betting tip: Jacob Kiraz.

Over/Under Prediction

Two teams in red-hot form who are both full of red-hot attacking talent AND four of Canterbury's last five interstate matches have gone over the total match points line? We’ll be taking the over in this market, please.

Betting tip: Over total match points.
