Sunday afternoon footy kicks off at Accor Stadium with a top-eight clash that could shift the balance of the ladder.

The rising Rabbitohs have been rejuvenated under Wayne Bennett, and are riding high after back-to-back statement wins and are slowly getting back to full strength after a rough start to the season with injuries.

Meanwhile, the Warriors are licking their wounds after a home loss to Canberra but remain one of the most consistent outfits in 2025.

With both clubs jostling to cement their finals credentials, expect fireworks in Homebush – especially with the Bunnies out to keep their momentum rolling against a Warriors side that hasn’t travelled all that well on the road.

Here’s how the Rabbitohs and Warriors line up for this clash, as well as some betting tips for the H2H, first try scorer, and over/under markets. This is our Rabbitohs vs Warriors prediction.

Rabbitohs vs Warriors Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

Despite South Sydney’s recent surge under Wayne Bennett, history hasn’t been kind to the Bunnies when facing top-tier opponents.

They’ve dropped their last 10 games against teams sitting in the top four - a stat that gives the Warriors a mental edge heading into this one.

While Souths are building nicely, New Zealand has been one of the NRL’s most stable sides and will be eager to assert their dominance on the road.

Betting tip: New Zealand Warriors

First Try Scorer Prediction

Dallin Watene-Zelezniak has a knack for lighting the scoreboard, especially against sides that give up space out wide.

With Souths still patching together their edge defence, DWZ could find himself finishing off a slick Warriors shift to the corner before fans even settle into their seats.

For the Warriors, DWZ claiming the first try of the game would be a huge start to what is expected to be a quality game.

Betting tip: Dallin Watene-Zelezniak first try scorer.

Over/Under Prediction

This clash is shaping up to be a grind. The Rabbitohs have seen 11 straight games fall under the total points line, and the Warriors haven’t exactly been lighting it up away from home – scoring between 11 and 20 points in each of their last three road trips.

With both sides leaning into defence-first mindsets and no need to force expansive play, expect a low-scoring arm-wrestle.

Betting tip: Under total match points.
