Indigenous All Stars vs Maori All Stars Tips and Predictions

10/02/2025|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

The NRL’s Indigenous All Stars vs Maori All Stars is back for 2025! Now a constant fixture of the NRL Pre-season, the annual All-star game is a celebration of culture, community and some of the most entertaining rugby league you will ever see.

This year both the men’s and women’s games will be played at the same venue, one after the other.

The playing group across both sides are a little different this year with a number of regular participants in this match, such as Nicho Hynes, Cody Walker and Latrell Mitchell all missing for different reasons.

That doesn’t mean the Indigenous vs Maori All Stars will be lacking star power, with plenty of big names sprinkled across all the participating squads.

Perhaps the biggest inclusion for this exhibition game is Kalyn Ponga for the Maori All Stars. His inclusion is made all the more intriguing by the fact that he opted out of the Kangaroos squad at the end of last season.

Exhibition matches like this are seemingly made for players like Ponga and he’s set to be joined by a host of other certified superstars, excitement machines and up and coming entertainers. You’re not going to want to miss this.

For the latest team news, odds and analysis check out our Indigenous All Stars vs Maori All Stars tips and predictions below.

Indigenous All Stars Squads

Men

Jacob Alick-Wiencke, Jayden Campbell, Joshua Curran, Tallis Duncan, Brian Kelly, Josh Kerr, Alofiana Khan-Pereira, Dylan Lucas, Shaquai Mitchell, Tyrone Munro, Brent Naden, Hohepa Puru, Niwhai Puru, Ethan Roberts, Blake Steep, Jayden Sullivan, Jacob Sykes, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Connor Watson, Jack Wighton.

Coach: Ronald Griffiths.

Women

Essay Banu, Jaime Chapman, Bree Chester, Nakia Davis-Welsh, Kirra Dibb, Quincy Dodd, Monique Donovan, Taliah Fuimaono, Tallisha Harden, Keilee Joseph, Tommaya Kelly-Sines, Grace Kemp, Olivia Kernick, Ella Koster, Bobbi Law, Evah McEwen, Lailani Montgomery, Mahalia Murphy, Jasmine Peters, Taneka Todhunter.

Coach: Jess Skinner.

Maori All Stars Squads

Men

Jesse Arthars, Zach Dockar-Clay, James Fisher-Harris, Dane Gagai, Mawene Hiroti, Royce Hunt, Keano Kini, Jacob Laban, Jeremy Marshall-King, Jesse McLean, Kurtis Morrin, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, Kodi Nikorima, Kalyn Ponga, Reuben Porter, Jordan Riki, Jazz Tevaga, Leo Thompson, William Warbrick, Xavier Willison.

Coach: Adam Blair.

Women

Lilly-Ann White, Annessa Biddle, Harata Butler, Kennedy Cherrington, Rueben Cherrington, Laikha Clarke, Zali Fay, Najvada George, Taneisha Gray, Tyla King, Shannon Mato, Kerehitina Matua, Raecene McGregor, Shanice Parker, Rima Pirini Butler, Ashleigh Quinlan, Tiana Raftstrand-Smith, Jasmin Strange, Pauline Suli-Ruka, Chante Temara

Coach: Keith Hanley.

Indigenous vs Māori Women’s All Stars Prediction

Saturday, February 15, 4:50pm AEDT – CommBank Stadium

Opening up proceedings at Commbank Stadium on Saturday afternoon are the women’s Indigenous and Maori All Stars.

In the H2H market the Indigenous All Stars have been installed as solid favourites, most likely due to the fact that they are packing a touch more star power than their opponents.

With names like Titans speedster Jamie Chapman, Origin utility Taliah Fuimaono and reigning Dally M medallist Olivia Kernick all in the squad, the Maori All Stars will have their work cut out for them trying to match it with their Indigenous counterparts.

Obviously, exhibition matches are notoriously tough to tip due to the lack of established form lines and the more casual nature of the contest.

That being said, when in doubt, side with the superstars. That’s exactly what we’ll be doing here.

Head-to-head prediction: Indigenous Women’s All Stars.

Betting tip: Jamie Chapman first try scorer.

Indigenous vs Māori Men’s All Stars Prediction

Saturday, February 15, 7:10pm AEDT – CommBank Stadium

After the ladies play their game, it’s the boys turn. Here it’s the Maori All Stars who are the H2H favourites.

The inclusion of former Dally M winner Ponga has no doubt swung punters' support in their favour.

This favouritism has been enhanced by the withdrawal of a number of key players of the Indigenous side.

Unlike years gone by, there will be no Cody Walker, Nicho Hynes or Latrell Mitchell for the Indigenous All Stars. This is a huge blow as these three represent arguably the most exciting attacking players in the competition.

There’s still plenty of flair in the Indigenous squad however with Titans deadly duo Jayden Campbell and Alofiana Khan-Pereira ready to supply the attacking theatrics.

They’ll also be joined by Jamie Chapman’s other half, Dolphins’ marquee man Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow.

While the addition of Ponga may have heavily influenced a number of punters to throw their support behind the Maori All Stars, on paper we believe it’s the Indigenous side that have the more complete team.

As a result, we’re backing them to spring an upset here and complete a clean sweep for both Indigenous All Star sides on the day.

Head-to-head prediction: Indigenous Men’s All Stars.

Betting tip: Alofiana Khan-Pereira first try scorer.
