The Dolphins vs Gold Coast Titans Prediction – Round 2 2026
13/03/2026|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips
Round 2 of the 2026 NRL season closes with a Queensland clash between the Dolphins and Gold Coast Titans at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday evening.
Both sides dropped their opening encounters last weekend, though new Titans coach Josh Hannay will be particularly eager to rectify Saturday’s 50-10 thrashing at the hands of Cronulla.
Last week saw the Dolphins maintain their league-best scoring average of 30.04 points from 2025, but a poor defensive performance meant they still fell 40-30 to the Rabbitohs at Suncorp.
The Dolphins have established early dominance in their young rivalry with the Titans, holding a 5-1 record which includes a 36-30 win at this venue late last year.
Max Plath and Ray Stone are welcome inclusions for the home side on Sunday, both named on the interchange.
Meanwhile, Hannay has resisted swinging the axe, naming the same 19 players as last week. Can they make amends for last week's lacklustre showing? Let’s find out!

Dolphins vs Titans Prediction and Betting Tips
Head-to-Head Prediction
The final game of NRL Round 2 is an all-Queensland affair, as The Dolphins host the Titans at Suncorp Stadium.
Both of these sides were involved in games that breached the 60-point mark last week, however, that’s not exactly a good thing.
The Phins fell short in a crazy 70-point shootout against the Bunnies, scoring 30 points and still losing. While the Titans copped 50 against the Sharks, landing in the “history says no premiership for you” basket alongside the Eels.
Yes, the Dolphins clearly have some serious defensive deficiencies, but their attack should be able to make up for it.
As for the Titans, they’re straight back in our “do not tip until further notice” category, after just one round.
Betting tip: The Dolphins.
