The fight for the top eight rages on with the Dolphins hosting the Sydney Roosters in a cracking matchup at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday evening.

These two teams met at this venue during Magic Round, where the Roosters won 36-26.

The Dolphins maintained their grip on eighth spot last week after beating the Warriors 20-18 over in Auckland. After that result, a win here over the ninth-placed Roosters would go a long way to consolidating their maiden finals berth.

This has to be the hardest game of NRL round 23 to pick. It also might be the most important in terms of the premiership ladder.

This effectively makes this a must-win for the Chooks, because a four-point swing in the race for the eight would be detrimental to their final’s aspirations.
