With the second minor premiership in club history under their belt, the Canberra Raiders have opted to rest a slew of players for this Round 27 clash with the Dolphins at Kayo Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

That could be music to the ears of the hosts, who enter the final round two points behind the eighth-placed Roosters.

Sydney plays against Souths on Friday night, meaning the Dolphins will know the equation – if they are still alive – going into Sunday.

Kaeo Weekes, Jed Stuart, Ethan Strange, Jamal Fogarty, Josh Papalii, Tom Starling, Joe Tapine, Zac Hosking, Hudson Young and Simi Sasagi are all rested for Canberra.

This means Adam Cook and Ethan Sanders are the new halves, Chevy Stewart is at fullback and Owen Pattie starts at hooker. Corey Horsburgh captains the young side which features three debutants.

On the other end of the spectrum there is only one change for the Dolphins with Kulikefu Finefeuiaki in for the injured Connelly Lemuelu. Herbie Farnworth is also a chance to return from the reserves.

Check out our The Dolphins vs Canberra Raiders match preview for plenty of betting tips and predictions across a host of markets.
