The Dolphins vs Parramatta Eels Prediction – Round 25 2026

20/08/2026|Joel Caine|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips

The Dolphins will look to consolidate their top-four spot when they host the Parramatta Eels at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

After confirming their first finals appearance since joining the NRL in 2023, the Dolphins’ sights are now firmly set on a double chance following a 22-0 win over the Sea Eagles last Friday.

Meanwhile, the Eels showed plenty of fight despite having little to play for as they thwarted the Cowboys 32-30 in a thriller on Saturday.

Jake Averillo and Brian Pouniu join the Dolphins’ bench, while Max Plath starts for the injured Connelly Lemuelu.

Jack de Belin and Kelma Tuilagi have been named for the Eels, while Dylan Walker is sidelined with a wrist injury. Jezaiah Funa will be hoping to make his NRL debut after missing out last week.

Dolphins vs Eels Prediction and Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

Friday Night’s NRL Round 25 action continues when a couple of sea creatures in the Dolphins and Eels do battle at Suncorp Stadium.

Apparently, all you need is to lose 66-0 to go on a serious run of form. Who knew? After getting slaughtered by the Sharks just over a month ago, the Dolphins have won their last four in a row to swim into the top four and now turn their attention towards the unpredictable Eels.

Parramatta did what they did best last week and won when no one was expecting them too, taking down the Cowboys 32-30 in a controversial thriller.

Hooker Tallyn Da Silva starred with a double, but Eels fans beware, there are two damning statistics working against your side ahead of this one.

Parra have only won back-to-back games once this season and that was all the way back in rounds two and three. Also, the Phins seem to love it under the lights, winning each of their last nine night matches.

On the precipice of five straight wins and all but locking up a top four spot, as well as getting to play at home, the ball seems to be firmly in the Dolphins’ court here.

Betting tip: The Dolphins.

First Try Scorer Prediction

After his double last week, we just can resist a chucking Parra rake Tallyn Da Silva into our bet slips.

After a tough start to life in Blue and Gold, the former Tiger has finally hit his straps, nailed down the starting dummy half role and also scored at least one try in each of his last three matches.

There’s plenty of value to be had backing him for first try scorer in this one, value which we will be hunting.

Betting tip: Tallyn Da Silva.

Over/Under Prediction

Five of the Dolphins' last six home matches have gone over the total match points line.

Betting tip: Over (51.5) total match points.

Line Prediction

Parramatta has covered the line in each of their last six matches at Suncorp Stadium when playing with a rest disadvantage.

Betting tip: Eels (+13.5) line.
