The Bulldogs have had a hot, hot start. Four wins in a row and sitting pretty at the top of the ladder, life is pretty good at Belmore right now. 

Despite the loss to the Titans before the bye last week, the Knights are holding onto their spot inside the top eight and are looking to bounce back onto the winners list on Sunday afternoon at Accor Stadium.

Bulldogs vs Knights Prediction and Betting Tips

 

Head-to-Head Prediction

Cameron Ciraldo’s men are doing everything right at the moment, they’re playing a tough, structured brand of footy that transcends dependency on specific personnel.

The fact that they saw off Cronulla last week, away from home, without the services of Burton and Kikau, who are arguably their two best players, speaks volumes of their current team chemistry.

We are giving the Knights little to no hope here, particularly on the road.

First Try Scorer Prediction

The Bulldogs centre has found his groove over the past two weeks and is building into the season nicely.

After going over a couple of weeks ago against the Eels, the back followed up the effort with a double against the Sharks last week.

While the Knights make it hard for teams to score against them, if Xerri can get some running metres and some confidence early, expect him to break through the wall and go over at the first time of asking.

Over Under Prediction

The Newcastle Knights have only scored over 20-points just once this season. It’s an important area of the game but one they have struggled in over the opening month.

The Bulldogs by contrast, have had no such problems, only failing to hit the 20-point marker once and even topping the 40-point marker in Round 2.

Each of Newcastle’s last six matches have gone under the total match points line. We can’t see that changing amid their current scoring woes.
