Australia vs England Prediction – Rugby League Ashes Game 3
05/11/2025|SB Staff|NRL Expert Predictions & Tips
Australia has once again shown why they are the premier force in international Rugby League, needing only two of the three games on offer to seal the Rugby League Ashes.
There was plenty of hype around this incarnation of England; however, as usual in recent times, they were no match for their green and gold-clad opponents.
With the series in the bag, we could see mass changes for the Kangaroos, with a brand-new spine not out of the question.
Kevin Walters may elect to rest the likes of Walsh, Munster, Cleary, and Grant, meaning the killer positions for Australia could be occupied by Edwards, Dearden, Moses and Brailey.
If Walters does choose to run this untested configuration, could it open the door for England to save some much-needed face and spring an upset in the third and final Ashes Test?

Australia vs England Game 3 Predictions and Betting Tips
Head-to-Head Prediction
The H2H odds for this third and final Ashes Test, unsurprisingly have the Kangaroos installed as massive favourites.
Such is Australia’s expected dominance, at the time of writing, the Big Win Little Win margin of a 13+ Aussie victory is only paying 1.59.
However, if Walters does ring the changes as anticipated, there could be value to be had backing an England upset.
However, we’re playing it safe and sticking with the Aussies who will no doubt be hungry to white wash their arch-rivals, no matter who lines up for them.
Betting tip: Australia.
First Tryscorer Prediction
Even though he is yet to find the line in this series, we’re going again with Mark Nawaqanitawase.
He’s still the NRL’s reigning leading try scorer and if Moses is selected at halfback, few can pick out a winger better than him.
Betting tip: Mark Nawaqanitawase.
Australia vs England Anytime Tryscorer Betting Tips
Mitchell Moses
When fit, Mitchell Moses is one of, if not the most influential player in the NRL. We saw last year just how much both Parramatta and NSW thrived with and struggled without him.
A devastating ball runner, capable of scoring tries from beyond the halfway line, if Moses gets a run here ahead of Cleary, he’s one to watch in the anytime try scorer market.
Kai Pearce-Paul
Four-pointers have been in desperately short supply for the English this series, with only the solitary meat pie in 160 minutes of play so far.
If they are going to break through at some point in the third Test, backing one of the big boys might be the play.
Newcastle’s Kai Pearce-Paul has shown he knows where the try line is and if he can get the right service against an experimental Aussie side, he could get on the scoreboard at some point in this one.
Josh Add-Carr
The seemingly ageless Foxx showed the world he still knows where the tryline is last season.
He crossed for 19 tries in 22 appearances in his first season at Parra and his combination with his club captain Mitchell Moses could see him add to that tally in Leeds on Sunday. This time in green and gold instead of blue and gold.
