That’s right, for all those that didn’t know there is a Rugby League Ashes and they’re back after a 22-year hiatus.</p> <p>Having been absent for over two decades, it’s fair to assume modern footy fans might not be fully acquainted with exactly what is the Rugby League Ashes and what they entail.</p> <p>Well, that’s where we come in and why we’ve created this handy ‘What is the Rugby League Ashes’ guide.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2>What is the Rugby League Ashes 2025?</h2> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Rugby League Ashes is an international best of three test series contested between the Australian Kangaroos and England.</p> <p>First originating all the way back in 1908, the Rugby League Ashes were contested a total of 39 times up until 2003.</p> <p>They have been on hiatus since then, until it was announced earlier this year the series would be revived for the first time in 22-years.</p> <p>Of the 39 test series played so far, England have won 19 and Australia have won 20 - including the last 13 consecutive series dating from 1970 to 2003.</p> <p>The 2025 Rugby League Ashes will also mark the first time Australia and England have played each other in a competitive match since the 2017 World Cup Final, which saw the Kangaroos triumph 6-0.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2>Why is England vs Australia Rugby League Called the Ashes?</h2> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Both the name and the format of the Rugby League Ashes were adopted from the cricket series of the same name.</p> <p>This is due to it being contested by the same two nations, not because they are fighting over the cinders of an old footy stored inside a tiny urn.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2>What Date are the Rugby League Ashes?</h2> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>England will host the current World Champions Australia on three consecutive weekends, starting on Saturday October 25.</p> <p>The following two games will take place on Saturday November 1 and Saturday November 8 respectively.</p> <p>All three test matches kick-off at 2:30pm local time, which translates to an early start for everyone tuning in Down Under – Sunday 1:30am AEDT.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2>Where Will the Ashes be Held in 2025?</h2> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The 2025 Rugby League Ashes will be hosted in England, marking the Kangaroos first tour of the mother country in 22 years.</p> <p>The first of the three tests will be played at Wembley Stadium in London later this month.</p> <p>The second Test will be played at the brand-new Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool, the home of Premier League side Everton FC, on Saturday November 1.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Leeds will then play host to the third and final Test in Rugby League heartland at Headingley Stadium, home of the Leeds Rhinos on Saturday November 8.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2>Rugby League Ashes Series&nbsp;Odds</h2>
