Try July is Back in 2024

12/07/2024|SB Staff|NRL News

Sportsbet’s Try July will return in 2024 for a fifth consecutive year. Once again Sportsbet will be donating $5,000 to two charitable causes for every try celebration that takes place in the NRL & NRLW during the month of July.

This year’s beneficiaries are former NRLW player Toni Hunt and the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation.

Toni was forced to step away from Rugby League after being diagnosed with cancer. The donations from Try July will go towards easing the financial burden her illness and its subsequent treatment has had on her and her family.

The Australian Skin Cancer Foundation supports and advocates for all affected by skin cancer. Try July donations will go towards helping provide Australians with more free skin checks, educate future generations on the prevention of skin cancer and help fund skin cancer research.

The 2024 edition of Try July will kick off on July 4th, when the Parramatta Eels take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

It will run until July 28th and include State of Origin Game III and round 1 of the NRLW. For a donation of $5,000 to be made, players simply have to perform a celebration after scoring a try. Please note donations will be capped at $400,000.
