NRL Ladder 2025

25/05/2026|SB Staff|NRL Ladder

Welcome to Sportsbet’s 2025 NRL Ladder. This is where you can keep tabs on how your team and the rest of the competition are traveling.

Keep an eye on who’s closing in on the minor premiership, the race for the top 8, who’s shaping up as the best of the rest and which teams are plummeting towards the dreaded wooden spoon.

For those not familiar with the mechanics of the NRL ladder or how the season is formatted, allow us to elaborate.

In the NRL Competition - teams are awarded two competition points every time they win a match.

Points are used to determine the ladder position of each team. At the end of the regular season, the team with the most points is awarded the minor premiership.

The eight teams with the most points at the conclusion of regular season qualify to play in the finals and compete for the ultimate prize, the NRL premiership.

This group of teams are commonly referred to as “the top 8”, while the top 4 teams receive special advantages during the finals campaign. Such are these advantages, no team who has finished outside of the top 4 has ever won the Premiership in the NRL era.

If teams are level on competition points, they are separated on the ladder by “for and against”. This refers to the points scored and conceded by a team.

There are a host of markets available to Sportsbet punters that revolve around final ladder positions. These include Minor Premiership, Top 4 Finish, Top 8 Finish, Least Wins (Wooden Spoon) and many more.
