For the first time ever, WWE presents Wrestlepalooza, a premium live event designed to mark a new era following big broadcast deals. The main roster PLE will be broadcast live on ESPN in the U.S. — a first — with Netflix carrying it in many international markets, including Australia.

The home of wrestling has put together a stacked card to mark the occasion. And once again, it’s set to deliver some big moments, bigger matches, and even more shocking moments.

Headlining this card is the return of AJ Lee, who will team with her husband, CM Punk, in mixed tag-team action in her return to the ring after a 10-year absence.

Elsewhere, John Cena will do battle with ‘the Best Incarnate’, Brock Lesnar, one final time in his glittering career, and WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will put his title on the line against the Scottish Warrior, Drew McIntyre.

And as with most things in the crazy world of WWE, we’re on the lookout for surprise appearances, surprising alignments, and shocking betrayals.

WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025 Predictions & Preview*

Iyo Sky vs Steph Vaquer - Singles Match for Vacant WWE Women's Championship

It’s been over a month now since Naomi vacated the WWE Women’s Title when she announced her pregnancy on Raw.

Which is why it’s puzzling to see them fluff around for a bit and then hastily throw together a match between the Evolution Battle Royal winner, Steph Vaquer, and former champ Iyo Sky to battle for the strap.

Vaquer is rising quickly as one of the new breed of female talent, and Sky is a proven performer both as a singles champion and as part of a group, as we’ve seen her backstage with Auska and Kairi Sane on TV recently.

Both these women have the capability to put on a fantastic match, but I doubt this is the stage for it.

Sky has already held the title this year and is currently in a program with Ripley and the Kabuki Warriors. Vaquer is still relatively new to the main roster after a call-up from NXT, and it might be too soon to put the title on her, but this presents as a good chance to test herself and have some big matches as a transitional champion.

Bronn Breakker & Bronson Reed (The Vision) vs The Usos - Tag Team Match

The Usos are finally back together.

It would make sense for them to win their first match back tagging together, but the vision has already taken a loss to Jey when he tagged with Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.

Additionally, Jey has been teasing a turn for a few weeks, which could overshadow this match, as his mind is clearly focused on regaining his world title, rather than this match. This big, special reunion with his brother.

With his mind preoccupied and his ongoing beef with LA Knight, it looks as if Big Jim could be left high and dry here, taking a beating from the Vision and giving them the win.

Something is brewing with Jey here. Excited to see where this goes.

Betting tip: The Vision

Cody Rhodes vs Drew McIntyre - Undisputed WWE Championship Match

Rhodes and McIntyre have a loaded history both inside and outside of WWE, and their paths cross here once again.

There’s no real long storyline at play here. McIntyre took Rhodes out of commission about a month ago so Cody could take time off as he welcomed a new child into the world and tick off some other projects. Drew has continued to be a menace and awesome top heel for the company.

Nonetheless, we’re expecting a banger of a match here because we know that is what they both deliver. Cody should win, but we’re expecting some shenanigans in the aftermath to set up both of these guys moving forward.

Betting tip: Cody Rhodes

John Cena vs Brock Lesnar - Singles Match

The John Cena Farewell Tour only has six more dates after this one.

And, let's be real, the last lap of John Cena wouldn’t be truly complete without a trip to Suplex City.

The “Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar shocked everyone when he showed up at SummerSlam and attacked John Cena after he dropped the title, but with only half a dozen appearances left for the ‘never seen 17’, it’s only fitting that he runs it back one last time with one of his biggest rivals ever.

Now a good guy again, ‘Big Match John’ is set to deliver and get the win here as he enters the final stages of his last run.

Betting tip: John Cena

Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch vs CM Punk & AJ Lee - Mixed Tag-Team Match

The grudge match years in the making, and the most anticipated match on the whole card.

AJ Lee makes her long-awaited return to the squared circle, and she is teaming with her husband, CM Punk, to take on WWE power-couple Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

The Punk and Rollins story has been simmering along ever since Punk returned at Survivor Series 2023 and reached a fever pitch when Rollins cashed in on him at SummerSlam after his whole injury faking scheme.

Fans had speculated for years whether his wife, AJ Lee, would ever follow him and return to the ring. And, with Becky Lynch getting involved in the storyline, it presented the perfect opportunity for Lee to come back.

There is no doubt that Punk and AJ should win here, especially since the titles are not on the line, and it would be a downer to have her lose on her first match back.

Betting tip: CM Punk & AJ Lee
