WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 - Tips & Predictions

01/12/2025|SB Staff|Novelties Tips & Predictions

Cue that Ozzy Osborne track, it’s time to gather the troops for War!

It’s the time of year for Survivor Series yet again, one of the ‘Big 4’ events on the WWE calendar. And, the Thanksgiving tradition promises to be an absolute spectacle in San Diego.

Once again, Survivor Series is presented under the guise of WarGames - a five-on-five steel cage battle in the ultimate score settler in the massive structure encompassing two rings.

This year, both the WarGames matches are stacked, with established stars like CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar all set to be in the ring at the same time in the mens bout, while in the Women’s WarGames match, we will get Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch and AJ Lee all duking it out in the same ring.

Elsewhere, John Cena, in his second-last appearance ever, will put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Dominik Mysterio in a rematch from their Boston battle a few weeks ago.

Of course, as with any WWE program, we’re on the lookout for any heel turns, betrayals and surprise appearances and returns. Survivor Series has been the place to do it in the past, so don’t be surprised to see someone surprising show up.

For the full card and latest WWE news, analysis, odds, and betting tips, check out our WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 prediction and preview below.

WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 Predictions & Preview*

The Vision, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre & Brock Lesnar vs CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, The Usos & Roman Reigns - Men’s WarGames Match

There’s no doubt that the injury sustained by former champion Seth Rollins has pivoted the direction of this one. Nevertheless, it’s allowed WWE to amass seemingly all the star power possible and throw them into this match.

There are threads aplenty here. The Usos, Reigns, Punk and Rhodes have all had bones to pick with The Vision since it was formed after WrestleMania. Throw in the extra dynamic of Paul Heyman and the game-changing force that is Brock Lesnar, and yep — there are going to be some bruises.

Can the likes of Punk, Reigns and Rhodes coexist on the same team?

That remains the big question, but this match also presents several story threads that should set us up for the road to WrestleMania 42.

One of those threads is whether Jey Uso might further embrace his inner ‘Tribal Chief’ and turn on his family and team to align himself with Heyman in a bid to regain his World Title somewhere down the line.

The heel team is more inexperienced when it comes to WarGames matches, with only McIntyre and Reed having competed in one previously. That said, it still makes more sense — and gives WWE more options moving forward — for the heels to get the win here.

Betting tip: The Vision, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre & Brock Lesnar

Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Iyo Sky, Rhea Ripley & AJ Lee vs The Kabuki Warriors, Nia Jax, Lash Legend & Becky Lynch - Women’s WarGames Match

After months of being tormented by the Kabuki Warriors, Rhea Ripley gets her chance to get her hands on both Auska and Kairi Sane with the help of some friends.

Her friends include the former Women’s Tag-Team champions Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, who lost the titles to the Japanese stars in recent weeks. Nia Jax and Lash Legend joined the heels by interfering during their title win.

The introduction of AJ Lee to Ripley’s team drew the attention of Becky Lynch, with ‘The Man’ joining forces with the heels last Friday on SmackDown.

Unlike the men's match, there’s no cohesive angle in this one and no major storyline advancement (yet) to come out of this one, except for the escalation of the Lee vs Lynch storyline, which will see a one-on-one match somewhere down the line.

In all four Women’s WarGames matches at Survivor Series so far, the babyfaces have reigned supreme. So, this should be the big babyface win of the night.

Betting tip: AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair

John Cena vs Dominik Mysterio - Singles Match for the International Championship

We’re in the final throws of John Cena’s Farewell Tour with just two more dates remaining in the illustrious career of the GOAT.

But before he leaves, he has business to take care of in the form of upstart Dominik Mysterio, who has made himself part of Cena’s last lap with matters concerning the Intercontinental Championship.

Cena took the belt off Mysterio in his second-last appearance on Raw, and final appearance in his hometown of Boston, to become a WWE Grand Slam Champion.

The big question here is, does Cena drop the belt here to Dom, or does he drop it to his final opponent in a couple of weeks at Saturday Night's Main Event?

Cena would want his final few outings to be a means of putting over young talent, and Mysterio has proven that he is on the trajectory to be one of the stars of the future.

With the event taking place in San Diego, too, Mysterio’s hometown, we think he’s regaining the belt here.

Betting tip: Dominik Mysterio

Stephanie Vaquer vs Nikki Bella - Singles Match for the WWE Women’s World Championship

For weeks after her return to WWE in July, Nikki Bella feigned a friendship with Stephanie Vaquer, encouraging her championship dreams.

And, once La Primera captured the top prize in the women’s division, Bella bid her time before expressing her desire to be champion and turning on her.

There’s always money on the babyface chasing the gold against a hated heel, they’re surely not going to have Vaquer drop the title in what will be just her second title defence, are they?

Expect Vaquer to go over, but it won’t be the end of the feud. We might even see the return of the Bella twins here after sister Brie has made noises during the week about wanting to get the duo back together.

Betting tip: Stephanie Vaquer

*Card is subject to change

WWE Survivor Series 2025 Details

Date: Saturday, November 29, 2025 (Sunday, November 30th, Australian time)

Location: Petco Park, San Diego, CA.

How to watch in Australia: Netflix - Saturday from 7:30pm AEST.
