WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event: Salt Lake City Tips & Predictions
29/10/2025|SB Staff|Novelties Tips & Predictions

After a successful trip down under, WWE presents the 41st edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event as its next big premium live event.

And premium it’s set to be, with as many as three world championship belts on the line.

Most notably, we will crown a brand-new World Heavyweight Champion, after Seth Rollins was forced to relinquish the title following an injury (for real this time).

CM Punk and Main Event Jey Uso will duke it out for the top belt on the red brand, while over on the blue brand, the top prize is also up for grabs again as Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre continue their long-running feud through Utah.

Elsewhere, Tiffany Stratton defends her Women’s Championship against the recently turned heel Jade Cargill, and Dirty Dom Mysterio will, reluctantly, put his Intercontinental title on the line against Penta and Rusev.

Of course, being a WWE PLE, we’ll be on the lookout for heel turns, face turns, shocking returns, and surprise appearances. We think there are sure to be plenty this time around.

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Predictions & Preview*

CM Punk vs Jey Uso - Singles Match for the World Heavyweight Championship

If you believe everything you read on the internet, one of a few things could happen in this bout.

Brothers Jimmy and Jey Uso have been bickering quite a bit in recent weeks, and one could cost the other, either accidentally or on purpose, leading to what looks like a Jey heel turn. That certainly seems to be the direction this build is heading.

Another theory is that Punk might be the one to turn heel, especially now that his best friend, Paul Heyman, suddenly has a vacancy in the position of faction leader. Eagle-eyed fans may have also noticed WWE filing a new trademark that could come into play in the build to Survivor Series.

It’s a huge match between two of the company’s biggest stars for one of its most prestigious prizes. After Punk’s SummerSlam moment was scuppered by The Vision, we can expect their involvement again here. But ultimately, with the Usos’ distractions playing a role, expect Punk to capitalise and walk away with the win.

Cody Rhodes vs Drew McIntyre - Singles Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship

This one feels like the schoolyard story of the kid who keeps getting knocked down but keeps coming back for more.

In this case, that “kid” is Drew McIntyre, and the Scottish Warrior is far from a pushover. He continues to fight his way into championship matches on the biggest stages.

Rhodes already defeated McIntyre as recently as Wrestlepalooza, but Cody’s frustration with the Scotsman has boiled over to the point that The American Nightmare basically demanded this rematch.

It looms as the blow-off bout and Drew’s final chance to capture the title from Rhodes. We just can’t see it happening on a smaller PLE rather than one of the Big Four.

Betting tip: Cody Rhodes

Tiffany Stratton vs Jade Cargill - Singles Match for the WWE Women’s Championship

Is Tiffy’s time up?

As she looks to science, Jade Cargill, once and for all, she could find herself deep in a storm after Cargill’s heel turn last Friday on SmackDown.

Her new badass, take-no-prisoners attitude looms as trouble for Stratton. Especially since Cargill has come up short in three previous attempts at the gold.

Can Stratton weather the storm and get back on the winners list after losing to Vaquer at Crown Jewel? WWE has waited and waited to pull the trigger on a title change, but Tiffy has risen to every challenge and occasion in a very impressive reign.

We think it’s got a bit more in it.

Betting tip: Tiffany Stratton

Dominik Mysterio vs Rusev vs Penta - Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental Championship

Is Dom’s luck about to run out?

After weeks of screwing over both Rusev and Penta, Dirty Dom will now have to put his title on the line against both men in a Triple Threat match.

With nowhere to hide, and with Liv Morgan still not back to shield him and him being kind of offside with the Judgement Day still, how will Dom weasel his way out of this one?

We’re not sure what tricks he’ll pull, but we think he leaves the Delta Centre with the title still around his waist.

Betting tip: Dominik Mysterio
