WWE makes its first of its biannual trips to Saudi Arabia this week for the annual Night of Champions Premium Live Event.

Traditionally, this event has been a smorgasbord of championship matches with every live title being defended and up for grabs in one way or another. How times have changed.

The focus instead is on the finals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments that have gone on throughout the month of June, with the winner securing a Title match at Summerslam.

‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes will take on his longtime friend and mentor ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton in the Men’s final, while ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ Auska will battle Jade Cargill for the title of Queen of the Ring.

Elsewhere, ‘The Samoan Werewolf’ Jacob Fatu will put his US Title on the line against his cousin Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn is set to do battle with Karrion Corss after weeks of Cross trying to get himself in the head of Zayn, and Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez will battle in a Street Fight.

All before the main event, which sees John Cena face off with his longtime rival CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Title, the latest of the ‘One Final Time’ series of matches on Cena’s year-long farewell tour.

WWE Night of Champions Predictions & Preview*

John Cena vs CM Punk - Undisputed WWE Championship

Time to run it back one last time for two old timers who are revisiting the greatest hits of one of the greatest feuds and stories of the mid-2010s.

Back then, it was Cena trying to stop Punk from leaving the company with the top belt. How the tables have now turned, and Punk is the latest one trying to stop Cena in his quest to ‘ruin wrestling’ in his last year in his career.

Their match in Chicago in 2011 was an instant classic with Punk prevailing. With 14 years passing since then and more miles in the body, who knows what they’ll be able to deliver, but the ring craft will still be at an all-time high for two veterans.

With six months still to go on his farewell lap, we can’t see Cena dropping the belt here just yet.

Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton - King of the Ring Final

After beating his friend Jey Uso in a ripping match last Monday on Raw, Rhodes' journey back to his title at the top of the WWE mountain has to go through his mentor and friend Randy Orton.

Orton himself had to battle Sami Zayn to make it through to the final and is hunting a 15th title reign with the big belt as he gets closer and closer to Father Time in his illustrious career.

Rusted on fans would love to see Orton win and get another shot at his great rival Cena, but it wouldn’t make sense right now… the Cody/Cena story still has some added layers to it that I think we’re about to see come out now.

Betting tip: Cody Rhodes

Auska vs Jade Cargill - Queen of the Ring Final

After a stint on the sidelines, Auska’s return to the ring has been a roaring success. She has her old, iconic theme music back and is back on a tear through the women's division to reach the final of the Queen of the Ring tournament.

She comes up against Jade Cargill. One of the biggest names on the WWE roster, but this is a big stage for Cargill, who has not had many big-time singles matches so far in her WWE career. Now facing one of the best in the modern era, it looms as a big test for her.

Auska has been on these types of runs before in her WWE career, where no one has been able to beat her. This has all the hallmarks again of her claiming the title here and then going on a nice, long title run from Summerslam.

Betting tip: Auska

Jacob Fatu vs Solo Sikoa - United States Championship Match

From all love to all hate. This one is all about taking care of family business. Again.

After Solo felt jealous of his cousin after he secured the US title at Wrestlemania this year, tensions between the family members ultimately led to violence in recent weeks, culminating in Fatu costing Sikoa a chance at becoming Mr Money in the Bank.

This is only the start of the climb for Fatu becoming a major, major star in this business. Fatu will get the win, but expect shenanigans to keep Solo looking strong.

Betting tip: Jacob Fatu

Rhea Ripley vs Raquel Rodriguez - Street Fight

The Rhea Ripley - Liv Morgan feud lives on. This time, it’s Liv’s tag-team partner stepping up to take on ‘Mami’ in a street fight after Morgan suffered a shoulder injury on Raw a couple of weeks ago.

It’s not just a case of Rodriguez stepping in for Morgan at the last minute; Ripley has had her issues with her since she linked up with Morgan.

This match should play to both women’s strengths and be a fun spot-fest for fans in the crowd. It should be a nice win for the Aussie, though, as she plots her way back to the top of the card.

Betting tip: Rhea Ripley

Sami Zayn vs Karrion Kross - Singles Match

The last match added to the card this past Monday night on Raw might even be the one to open the show.

For months now, Kross has been playing mind games with superstars in backstage segments but has focused on Zayn in recent weeks, and more so, since he came up short in the KOTR Semi-Finals.

Zayn threw down the challenge to Kross, challenging him to a match at Night of Champions, which shapes as Kross’s first PLE match in several months.

There’s a long-term game and plan here with Zayn, we feel, who might be on the long road to a crowning moment at Wrestlemania 42… but we’ll let that build slowly, starting with a win here.

Betting tip: Sami Zayn
