WWE Money in the Bank 2025 Prediction

05/06/2025|SB Staff|Novelties Tips & Predictions

The WWE roadshow heads to Los Angeles this Saturday for its annual Money in the Bank Premium Live Event.

Once a marquee match at Wrestlemania, the Ladder Match has evolved into becoming one of the key events on the wrestling calendar, such is the prize on offer for its male and female superstars.

The superstar who climbs the ladder and successfully unclips and retrieves the briefcase becomes Mr/Mrs. Money in the Bank and in possession of a contract for a World Championship match that can be cashed in at any place and anytime for the next 12 months.

Winners of the contract are nearly guaranteed to go on and become champions. Nineteen of 25 men's cash-in attempts have been successful, while women have a 100% success rate at 7 of 7.

Who’s in both the men's and women's ladder matches? What other bouts are on the card? For the latest WWE news, analysis, odds, and betting tips, check out our WWE Money in the Bank prediction and preview below.

How does the WWE Money in the Bank match work?

The WWE Money in the Bank match is contested under ladder match rules.

Six superstars clash in a no-holds-barred match with the same objective - be the first person to climb a ladder and retrieve the briefcase dangling high above the ring.

Inside the briefcase, is a contract that can be ‘cashed in’ for a World Championship match anytime, any place & anywhere for the next 12 months by the holder.

WWE Money in the Bank 2025 Predictions & Preview*

WWE has heeded the message that less is more. As such, there are only four matches on the Money in the Bank card for 2025.

Both Men’s and Women’s Money in the Bank Matches, Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch will battle for the Women’s Intercontinental title before Cody Rhodes and the World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso team up to face John Cena and Logan Paul.

Men’s Money in the Bank Match Prediction

The Men's Money in the Bank Sees Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, Penta, Andrade, El Grande Americano, and Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins battle it out for the title of ‘Mr. Money in the Bank’.

There are some funny threads with this one. Wins for both Penta and El Grande Americano would be very fun and would make way for some creative storytelling in the coming months.

The money seems to be heading the way of ‘the visionary’, who, flanked by his new villainous faction Bron Breaker and Bronson Reed seems to be on the runway to again being the top heel in the company. As the leader of the group, Rollins has the momentum to win his second MITB briefcase.

Plus, A Rollins win would give Paul Heyman something to hold at ringside once again.

Betting tip: Seth Rollins

Women’s Money in the Bank Match Prediction

It’s a real mix of new and experienced here in the Women’s Money in the Bank match with lots of fascinating angles.

Alexa Bliss is back and is back in the potential title picture. She takes on former champion Rhea Ripley, Naomi, and newcomers to the Smackdown roster Roxanne Perez, Stephanie Vaquer, and Giulia.

It seems a bit too soon to bestow the briefcase on one of the new call-ups, which could narrow this to a race between three.

As Aussies, aren’t we duty-bound to cheer for one of our own? With that in mind, we’re right behind Mami here.

Betting tip: Rhea Ripley

Lyra Valkyria vs Becky Lynch - Women’s Intercontinental Title

The two Irishwomen are set for a good old-fashioned donnybrook for one of the women’s division’s newest prizes.

After ‘The Man’ emerged as Valkyria’s mystery partner at Wrestlemania to win the Tag Titles after ‘someone’ mysteriously attacked Bayley backstage. When they dropped the titles the next night on Raw, Lynch attacked Valkyria, confirming her heel turn.

With Lynch getting plenty of heat as a heel, and Valkyria’s steady rise matching her talent and promise, this one is hard to predict because you need them to both look strong.

There is a future feud between Lynch and Bayley already set for the future when Lynch admitted to attacking Bayley before Wrestlemania, but this feud between two of the legendary ‘Four Horsewomen’ doesn’t necessarily need a belt on the line for it to be amazing.

We’re thinking this is heading for a DQ finish with Lynch beating up Lyra pretty badly that Bayley comes to save the day.

Betting tip: Lyra Valkyria retains the title via DQ

Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso vs John Cena & Logan Paul

John Cena’s quest to ‘ruin wrestling’ in his final year as an active in-ring competitor sees him team with internet sensation and wrestling upstart Logan Paul against ‘the American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso.

The last time we saw Cody Rhodes in action was when he was beaten by John Cena at Wrestlemania 41- where Cena would win his record-breaking 17th championship.

Rhodes made his long-awaited return two weeks ago at Saturday Nights Main Event to stop John Cena from screwing Uso out of losing his title in his match with Paul and putting a stop to the internet sensation claiming the belt.

A win here for Cody and Uso seems natural, which could set up Rhodes’ path to a rematch with Cena at Summerslam. We think that might happen anyway, but it doesn’t seem productive to stop Cena’s heel run here with many potential dream matches still on the cards. So we think the bad guys are winning this one.

Betting tip: Cena & Paul

*card is subject to change

How to watch WWE Money in the Bank 2025?

WWE Money in the Bank can be streamed live on Netflix in Australia.

WWE Money in the Bank 2025 Details

Date: Sunday, June 8th (AUS Time), 09:00 AM AEST

Location: Intuit Dome, Inglewood, CA

How to watch: Netflix

Not avalaible in SA.
