It’s hard to find many Australians who have had a bigger 2025 than Robert Irwin.
The son of an Aussie legend, the late great Steve Irwin, was always destined for a life in the fast lane, but things got turned up to the max this calendar year for Australia’s latest heartthrob.
From hosting ‘I’m a Celebrity’, to winning ‘Dancing with the Stars’ in the US, and even finding the time to pop home from time to time and work a couple of shifts at Australia Zoo, it’s been a loaded but fun time for the little blondie of one of Australia’s favourite families.
Which has got us thinking, what might Robert Irwin get up to in 2026?
How much more can the 22-year-old pack into his schedule? Where might he pop up next? And how much further can his star continue to rise?
What Will Robert Irwin Do in 2026? - What We Know
We know that Robert will be back on our TV screens here in Australia again soon, taking centre stage with co-host Julia Morris to host the Australian version of, I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here.
We know too that he will continue his big passions and purpose in life, which is Wildlife Conservation at Australia Zoo, and continue to grow his Photography, with Instagram followers rising and his calendars flying off shelves.
And, we also know that he is the face and voice of Tourism Australia’s revamped “Come and say G’Day” campaign, targeted at the US in enticing more Americans to visit Australia ahead of what is tipped to be a year of record international arrivals Down Under in 2026.
What Will Robert Irwin Do in 2026? - Tips & Predictions
Some may ask, what can’t he do? At the moment, it seems like very little.
But, of all the things that may or may not happen for Australia’s newest greatest export in 2026, here are some things that we think are most likely to happen… And a couple of things we’d like to see.
Pass 15 million followers on Instagram
At the time of writing, he sits at 9.2 million followers on Instagram. Only some of the biggest people in the world get to 15+ million followers on the gram, but the Aussie icon is trending that way.
Might be just a matter of what month he gets there.
Be On the Cover of TIME Magazine
Put simply, when you’re one of the highest-profile people in your 20s in the world, you’ve already won one of the biggest TV Game shows in the States in front of the biggest audience ever, and you have a rig like that, chances are you’re likely going to be snapped for an interview for one of the world's most popular magazines.
Be a Guest on Hot Ones
We’ve seen some things online to suggest that this might be in the works already.
And as we’ve noted just before, with that rig and thick Aussie Accent, he might do quite well on that show too!
Win the Gold Logie
He made history in 2024 when he became the youngest male ever to field a nomination for the top prize in Australian television.
He was beaten out on that occasion in what must be said was a Group 1 field of nominees. But, a couple of years later, with more runs on the board and a profile that is absolutely sky high, he might make more history this year and go one better by claiming the top gong.
And now, for some things that are unlikely, but we’d love to see them.
Replace Karl Stefanovic (Today Show) or Matt Shirvington (Sunrise) as Permanent Host
You can’t say he wouldn’t be a contender for it if a seat suddenly became vacant on one of the couches.
But, it's probably not his time just yet for this… Everything has come in a rush, but this might be one where he has to wait until he’s older.
Have a WWE Match
There has been no shortage of celebrities who have tried their hand at jumping in the squared circle for a wrestling match.
There could be some fantasy booking here, too. He and Mr Iguana could build a very funny storyline over who has the superior stuffed animal… But we can't see it happening just now.
And, surely, his entrance music is the famous ‘True Blue’ as an ode to his dad. Or something out of the Jungle Book.
Get Knighted by King Charles
Look, If the late, great Warney couldn’t even get knighted, then we’re sorry, Rob, you’re no chance, mate.
