NFL Week 6 Prediction and Betting Odds

NFL Week 6 Predictions

Week 6 of the NFL regular season is upon us, with four teams on byes.

The Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, and Minnesota Vikings won’t be in action this week, while the Kansas City Chiefs and Carolina Panthers will return after a week off.

Another international game is set to be played in London this week, with the Houston Texans taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars following the latter’s truly bonkers win against the Philadelphia Eagles last week.

Ahead of this week’s picks, just remember that last week saw three games go into overtime.

Quick Picks

Our pick: Chiefs to win

Value bet: Under (42.5) - Total Match Points - Chargers-Chiefs

Long shot: Browns to win

Betting Preview

Full Week 6 fixtures are as follows (all KO AEDT); games in bold are divisional games:

Betting Markets to Watch

The game between the Jets and Patriots looks a little more poised than others. The Pats are big favourites following back to back wins, but the Jets won last week and could go strong again this week.

The Pats have won their last 15 games as favourites, but the value is in the Pats’ handicap. The Jets have failed to cover the line in each of their last seven games as underdogs against AFC East opponents.

The Ravens-Browns game is worthy of interest. Lamar Jackson could be back for the Ravens, which is perhaps why they’re big favourites. However, the Browns have value, as seven of the last eight games between AFC North teams have been won by the underdogs.

The Browns have been good this season, with Deshaun Watson playing well at QB, and while the Ravens are favoured, better value can be found in the Browns’ handicap (which they’ve covered in each of their last six home games against AFC North opponents).

Chargers-Chiefs seems one-sided on paper with their current records, but Chiefs are coming off a bye. Justin Herbert has struggled for LA, while Patrick Mahomes has been performing.

Additionally, the Chiefs have won each of their last 12 home games against opponents on a losing streak. With two of the game's marquee quarterbacks on show, it is worth a look at where they sit among the richest NFL players.

The Under (42.5) - Total Match Points market has better value, as each of the Chiefs' last 10 home games against AFC West opponents have gone under the total match points line.
